The First Four Trumpets of Revelation

Not Tax Deductible

trumpets in revelation The First Four Trumpets directly affect Christendom, presently a third part of the earth’s population, it being the channel of God’s life giving food and drink via the gospel of Christ. The Fifth attacks TARES in Christendom demon locusts torment them to continue following the Man of Sin as he morphs into the Beast Son of Destruction at midweek. Then the Sixth Trumpet unleashes the demon cavalry who go forth and slay them all. None of this affects the true church in the Sanctuary, only the TARES cast out into the outer courtyard (Rev. 9:4; 11:1-2). The Seventh Trumpets God’s Kingdom (Rev. 11:15) in heaven; after the rapture (Rev. 14:13-16) the “seven angels having the seven last plagues” (Rev. 15:1) come out of the Temple to “pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth (Rev. 16:1).

Satan attacks the earth on two fronts. While the four demons of the apocalypse spread the ancient alien theory false gospel and cause crisis conditions on the earth necessary for radical change in times and laws that govern human society; Satan attacks the church with a storm of lying signs and wonders in support of the Man of Sin (2 Th. 2:9-12). He collaborates with Satan and his fallen angels taking an already fallen away Church down into greater apostasy until he morphs into the Antichrist Son of Perdition at midweek (2 Th. 2:3-4), completing the rebellion.

Although God’s angels sound the Trumpets, the first six herald events Satan is causing on the earth. God sent the deluding influence when he took the restraint on spiritism out of the way (2 Th. 2:7-9), but the falsehood they taught is from Satan (2 Th. 2:10-12). The Fifth Trumpet parallels this dichotomy, God’s angel takes the restraint out of the way (Rev. 9:1; 20:1) but imposes a restraint on harming those having the seal of God (Rev. 9:4). These demons are obeying Satan when they torture and torment the TARE followers of the false Christ Man of Sin. Otherwise, Satan would not be their king (Rev. 9:11 comp. Lk. 6:46).

The Interpretation of the Seven Trumpets

The First Trumpet

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. (Rev. 8:6-7) KJV

This storm of evil is disguised as hail and fire from God’s pure storehouses (Job 38:22; Ps. 147: 17; 148:8), but the impurity of blood contradicts that deception as blood would never be stored there (Lev 17:13; Ps 106:38; Is 59:3; Lam 4:14). “Deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Tim. 4:1; 2 Pt. 2:1) render the church unclean via signs and wonders that authenticate the Antichrist lie (2 Th. 2:9). Confirming this hail and fire mixed with blood is not from God’s storehouses, it “came to be” (1096 γίνομαι) where spiritual wickedness dwells in the heavenly realms (Eph. 6:12), cast down (ἐβλήθη 906 βάλλω ballo) by Satan, not God.

Trees and grass symbolize leaders in Christendom and their followers (Rev. 7:3; 9:4), a third of them commit eternal sin (comp. Mk. 3:29) taking all the grass under the trees into eternal destruction.

The Second Trumpet

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. (Rev. 8:8-9) KJV

This is the same great burning mountain Jeremiah saw (Jer. 51:25) that will go off into total destruction (Jer. 50:3, 13, 39-40; 51:29; Rev. 18:2-10). Babylon sits on many waters, poisoning them (Rev. 17:1) with her spiritism making men drunk, insensible to the voice of God bearing them witness through their conscience (Rev. 14:8; 18:3; Rom. 2:15; 9:1)

In globalist ecumenical ecstasy all the world’s religions unite under the Harlot Babylon who rises from obscurity to sit (Zech. 5:7-11) in Babylon, that ancient city that was totally dead but now rebuilt using wondrous fallen angel technology (Rev. 17:3-5). Demonic input is why she symbolically rises from the abyss (Rev. 17:8; 9:2). The world will marvel at the “alien technology” and worship this New World Order and the Dragon who is inspiring it (Rev. 13:4). The revived Roman Empire with Babyon as its capital will seem invincible (Rev. 13:3-4; Dan. 9:27; 11:36-39).

A third of those swimming in her polluted waters die eternally. Like the green grass that was burned up, these potentially could have been saved were it not for their committing eternal sins swimming in the sea of spiritism. The ships (4143 πλοῖον ploion) stand for Christendom’s churches as it includes small fishing vessels like those Christ taught from (Mk. 4:1; Jn. 6:19) as well as those carrying the gospel all over the earth by ship (Ac. 21:2-3; 27:2) that had become nothing more than conductors of commerce (Rev. 18:11-13). A third of them were destroyed, merging with Babylon to become indistinguishable and so dying the death.

The Third Trumpet

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. (Rev. 8:10-11) KJV

Stars symbolize angels (Judges 5:20; Job 38:6–7; Daniel 8:10; Rev. 9:1) and a burning star poisoning the waters that give life Lucifer the “day star” who “made the world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof and refused to let his prisoners go free (Is. 14:12-14, 17). Wormwood making the waters bitter is death for apostasy (Deut. 29:18; Jer. 9:15; 23:15; Lam. 3:15, 19; Amos 5:7). This would be eternal death.

God had stopped restraining spiritism the “energy of Satan” lying signs and wonders induce faith in antinomianism, lawlessness hence the false Christ is called the “man of sin” because everything he does is to condone it (2 Th. 2:3, 7-12).

Many die the death from drinking the poisoned water of spiritism and idolatry that flowed out of the belly of apostate Christendom.

The Fourth Trumpet

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (Rev. 8:12) KJV

Sun moon and stars shine God’s heavenly light on the earth (Jer. 31:35) hence Lady Zion heavenly Jerusalem (Mic. 4:10; Rom. 8:29) the mother of all redeemed of the LORD (Gal. 4:26; Heb. 12:22). Therefore, she can symbolize the true church clothed with the sun, moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars (Rev. 12:1; Gen. 37:9).

She has been driven into the wilderness (Rev. 12:6) which is Babylon (Rev. 18:4) where she is nourished by God in the Sanctuary but is surrounded by reprobates cast out into the outer courtyard (Rev. 11:1-2). Although they protected her by greedily drinking up the river of spiritism meant to carry the true church into idolatry (Rev. 12:15-16; Rev. 18:1-2; comp. 1 Cor. 12:2), her light to the world is diminished, Satanic darkness covers Christendom, the third part that called itself Christian.

Babylon the Harlot’s ecumenical outreach affords Lady Zion a measure of political political power and protection, that ends completely when the Antichrist Beast no longer requires the religious services of Babylon the Harlot (Rev. 17:16-17; Dan. 7:25; 8:24; 12:7) at midweek (Dan. 9:27).

The Three Woes

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! (Rev. 8:13 KJV)

Where is the third woe? The solution implied by Rev. 9:12, all three woes pertain to the manifestation of the demonic on earth (Rev. 9:12; 12:12). The Third Woe—the appearance of Satan on the earth after a war in heaven (Rev. 12:7-9). A Trumpet sounds at the commencement of war (Judg. 3:27; 6:34)

One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. (Rev. 9:12) KJV

First Woe: 1st voice of the Trumpet: Fifth Trumpet: Demon locusts Rev. 9:1-11;
Second Woe: 2d voice of the Trumpet: Sixth Trumpet Demon cavalry Rev. 9:13-19
Third Woe: 3rd voice of the Trumpet: A Trumpet sounds at commencement of war in heaven (Judg. 3:27; 6:34) when Michael and his angels cast Satan and angels down to the earth 12:7-12.

Perhaps this flashes back to the time of the Third Trumpet because it overlaps that event connecting satanic poisoning of Christendom’s “living water” with the river of spiritism spewed out trying to carry Lady Zion and her children away into idolatrous spiritism (Rev. 12:15-16; 1 Cor. 12:2; 2 Th. 2:13-15). That might explain why the third woe isn’t specified and one must infer it. The similarity to the Third Trumpet can’t be ignored. If a better explanation appears I will be sure to correct this.

The Fifth Trumpet

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall (πεπτωκότα, fallen) from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (Rev. 9:1) KJV

The star had already fallen from heaven when John saw it. He did not watch as what held it aloft was taken out of the way and it began free falling (4098 πίπτω pipto) to the earth as if pulled down by gravity.

This is a clearly symbolic of taking out of the way “what withholdeth” (neuter τὸ κατέχον 2 Th. 2:6) spiritism, the mystery or secret power of lawlessness. God’s ordinances (neuter τοῖς δόγμασιν Col. 2:14) evil angels could no longer appear physically on earth (Gen. 6:1-4) was taken “out of the way” as we see by the physical appearance of the Dragon with the Beast and False prophet (Rev. 16:13).

“He who now restrains” (masculine ὁ κατέχων 2 Th. 2:7) is this angel having the keys. Alternately the neuter could refer to “the shaft” (neuter, τοῦ φρέατος) of the bottomless pit if one objects what was restraining is taken “out of the midst”. The locked shaft was opened removing it “out of the midst”.

Other examples of the Restraint of spiritism being taken out of the way:

The four angels continue their restraint until the servants of God are sealed (Rev. 7:1-3). A lifting of what restrained spiritism occurs when the four angels are unbound and the demon cavalry under their command goes forth killing a third of mankind (Rev. 9:13-15). Another example is the drying up of the Euphrates so the “Kings of the East” (likely fallen angels) could join the kings of the earth to fight Christ at Armageddon (Rev. 16:12, 14).

The angel who released the evil from the abyss is later seen restraining and locking up the Devil in the same abyss for a thousand years (Rev. 20:1-3)

The Holy Spirit cannot be the Restrainer in 2 Th. 2:6-7 (even though His power is what restrains the evil) because He is infinite God and cannot be taken out of the way in any manner, even vicariously through a rapture of the Church as He remains everywhere omnipresent regardless.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

Many suppose John agrees with heathen myth the abyss is the realm of evil. Contradicting that assumption is their terror of being cast into it (Lk. 8:31):

The word “abyss” comes from roots meaning “without depth” and so is properly translated “bottomless.” It is apparently at the very center of the earth and so, in truth, has no bottom. Its boundaries in all directions are all ceilings; one cannot go “down” in any direction.-Morris, H. M. (1983). The Revelation Record: A Scientific and Devotional Commentary on the Prophetic Book of the End Times (p. 157). Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale.

Smoke of a great furnace, perhaps the same as the smoke of their torment who worship the beast and his image (Rev. 14:11). Christ said “everlasting fire” was “prepared for the devil and his angels” (Mt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10, 15) but humans who become like them will suffer with them. These demon locusts will go forth tormenting others.

I understand what follows as literally as possible. Its more prophetic than apocalyptic, John struggles to describe what he sees. The locusts appear with parts that look like crowns, faces, hair, etc. That rules out symbolic language, a “crown” can symbolize “dominion”, but something like a crown symbolizes nothing. John says their faces looked humanoid. Humans are hardwired to see faces. We see something like faces in clouds, in dirt on Mars, burnt toast and even on a Cobra Helicopter. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t specify they are human faces they symbolize nothing.

Demon spirits coming out of the abyss are incorporeal, perhaps they gain corporeality in the smoke, possessing genetically modified locusts that sting like scorpions (Mt. 8:32; Mk. 5:13; Lk. 8:33). Or are these drones, fallen angel technology demons can pilot?; or did Satan change vegetation into flying locust scorpions as he did rods into snakes? (Ex. 7:11-12). Occam’s razor would suggest the vague description exists because they are like ghosts, they remained incorporeal and John can barely see them. If this weren’t a vision of divine revelation, he wouldn’t see them at all and neither will those they terrorize.

Who knows if people will actually see them. Clearly these demon locust drones are not human technology as death flees from those they torment, that’s supernatural beyond anything we can do.

The locust drones go forth torturing all the TARES who hesitate following the Man of Sin’s transformation into the Beast Son of Destruction (2 Th. 2:3-4). They would realize what that means, following the Beast. It’s understandable they hesitate.

The sign and wonder working followers of the False Christ (Man of Sin Adonikam) and other false religions in Babylon must convert to the New World Religion of Adonikam 666 the Beast (Dan. 9:27; 2 Th. 2:3-4) and be quick about it. Satan knows his time is short. In their heart of hearts they WANT to follow the Beast (2 Th. 2:9-12), Satan compels they stop procrastinating (Rev. 12:12; 9:1-10).

The demon locusts will be successful convincing them, we see followers of the Beast citing their former Christian works in Christ’s Name on Judgment Day, claiming to still have affection for Jesus calling Him “lord lord” (Mt. 7:22-23). Christ rejected any mitigation of their punishment, they never knew Him. Evidently they were doing lying signs and wonders by the energia of Satan (2 Th. 2:9), not Christ’s Spirit as He NEVER knew them. The Jesus they thought they knew, was a delusion (2 Cor. 11:4; Gal. 1:6-7).

Apparently, it required five months to persuade them all. The five month period of time is repeated twice “to establish the matter” (Rev. 9:5, 10; Dt. 19:15; 2 Cor. 13:1).

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. (Rev. 9:4) KJV

Only those whose names are not in the book of life will suffer this torment (comp. Rev. 13:8; 17:8; 20:15). Spared are those already having the seal of God the Holy Spirit in their forehead, or “the grass…any green thing…any tree” that will have after they repent and believe is Jesus is LORD risen from the dead physically, God the Eternal Son (Rom. 10:9-13; John 20:31).

The demon locusts do not symbolize “damnable heresy”, they sting and heretics like their heresy, it doesn’t sting and torment them for five months.

The angel of the Abyss

Unlike the vague description of the demon locusts, John returns to specific language. That indicates this is symbolic.

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. (Rev. 9:11) KJV

“This “king” is a angel (32 ἄγγελος aggelos) or “messenger of the abyss”. In the Dead Sea Scrolls there is similar wording, Belial (another name for Satan) is “the angel of the pit”. He is cursed because he leads others into the darkness (of the pit) and his visitation leads into the everlasting pit:

And cursed be all the spir[its of] his [l]ot in their wicked plan,
4 and may they be damned in their plans of [f]oul impurity. For [they are the lo]t of darkness, and their visitation (will lead)
5 to the everlasting pit.
Amen. Amen. Blank And cursed be the wick[ed …] (of) his rule, and damned be
6 all the sons of Beli[al] in all the iniquities of their office until their annihilation [… Amen. Amen.] Blank
7 And [cursed be … the ange]l of the pit and the sp[irits of des]truction in al[l] the designs of [your] g[uilty] inclination
8 […] and [your] wicked counsel. [And da]mned be you in the r[u]l[e of]
9 [… and in the dominion …] with all […]
10 [and with the dis]grace of destruction w[ithout remnant, without forgive]ness, by the destructive wrath of [God …] Amen. Amen.-Garcia Martinez, F., & Tigchelaar, E. J. C. (1997–1998). The Dead Sea scrolls study edition (translations). Leiden; New York: Brill.

In that sense this “King of the locusts” is the “messenger of the Abyss”, his Siren leads others into the broad way into destruction (Mt. 7:13). Like Death and Destruction personified (Rev. 6:8; Job 28:22; Prov. 15:11; Ps. 88:11), victims are slain and tossed into the abyss. This parallels the Antichrist “son of Destruction”, he is an archetype of all who accept his mark and worship his image, instead of sons of light or sons of righteousness they are all sons of destruction because destruction will be what characterizes them. “Son of” is an Hebraism meaning a class of persons manifesting a specific property seen in the “father” of them. “Sons of light, sons of righteousness, sons of God etc.”

Being an angel of the abyss is like being “twice the child of hell” (Mt. 23:15). The scribes and Pharisees crossed land and sea to make proselytes, but these were taught hypocritical legalism that cannot save and converted others to do the same. But as new converts they had twice the zeal ironically destroying themselves and all they converted among their countrymen.

So the return to precise language is a return to apocalyptic symbolism vividly conveying how well these locusts will destroy those they torment and terrorize. They are proficient because they are led by the “King of destroying locusts” “the angel of the abyss” whose names are “Destruction” and “Destroyer”. Their victims without fail will be eternally destroyed.

Although symbolic, no one but Satan could be “the King” of the destroying demon locusts, considering how many angels and men will suffer everlasting destruction because of him and how they led others into the same fate.

The Sixth Trumpet

Unlike the fifth trumpet where the demon locusts were barely visible to John, he could only discern what the ghostly drones were like, here his vision is again clear and much is symbolic but the death referred to is horribly literal.

This Trumpet sounds at midweek when the Man of Sin morphs into the “Son of Destruction” in the temple of God the church (2 Th. 2:3-4). Christianity is about a third of the earth’s population. Judgment begins first with the house of God (1 Pt. 4:17-18) so this plague hits Christendom exclusively. The rest of mankind is quite happy to see Christians slain by the demon cavalry even though they had become Satanists like themselves. They heeded not these were slain after converting to the Beast, they wanted them punished for their former Christian profession (Rev. 18:2, 6).

Three things are implied by Revelation 9:20-21
1) Most of the earth’s population are now Satanists (Rev. 13:4): “the rest…not killed…repented not of their…worship of devils”
2) They brought this plague on themselves, it resulted from “the works of their hands.”
3) The death is literal because figurative death unseen by the living cannot lead to repentance of Satanism.

The voice comes from the midst of the altar because it is removing the restraint of spiritism that protected the TARES in Christendom from physical harm. Altars are where peace with God is made (Gen. 8:20; Ex. 20:24-25) after offerings are slaughtered, but now the people standing before the Altar will be slaughtered for their apostasy. Therefore, the Altar speaks from the midst of the horns (Rev. 9:13).

Like Apollyon in Revelation 9:11, the four angels are symbolic representing the powers of evil from all four directions of heaven (Eph. 6:12), the “kings of the East” are likely more than just four angels (Rev. 16:12). They command the Demon Cavalry, thus they get the credit for those under their command kill (Rev. 9:15-18). They were bound (1210 δέω deo cp. Mt. 16:19) by God’s ordinance restrained from crossing over from their realm into ours (2 Th. 2:6-7). The Euphrates symbolizes the boundary between the two realms. Literally, it was the easternmost boundary of the Kingdom of God (Gen. 15:18; Josh. 1:4; 2 Sam. 8:3) and its from there satanic attacks against the kingdom came (Isa. 8:7; 14:31; Jer. 1:14-15; 10:22).

The metaphors pile up the demon cavalry not only convert, they then kill their converts with the same fire and sulphur those dying the second death suffer, because these are eternally lost (Rev. 14:9-11).

John is surprised the rest of mankind doesn’t repent of their Satanism given how these apostate Christians were slain after they converted. Christendom is despised so much the “rest of the mankind” rejoiced to see them killed (Rev. 9:20-21; 18:2, 6) and were unconcerned they could suffer the same fate.

The Seventh Trumpet

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (Rev. 10:7) KJV

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev. 11:15) KJV

The Seventh Trumpet sounds just after midweek when the resurrection/rapture/revelation of the sons of God in heaven contains within it the liberation of all creation from the bondage of corruption (Rom. 8:19-21). This heavenly event finishes the mystery of God (Rev 10:7) that was revealed to Paul that the Gentiles be fellow heirs sons of God with Israel (Eph. 3:3-12). Hence the twenty four elders (12 Patriarchs/12 Apostles) symbolizing all the redeemed make their appearance (Rev. 11:16).

Trumpeting the very beginning of the time God begins His sovereign rule by handing it over to Christ our LORD (Rev. 11:15). The time of redeemed dead has come (Rev. 11:18), they stand before God having been raised up in resurrection bodies like that of Christ (1 Cor. 15:40-58) which shine like the stars in heaven (Dan. 12:2-3) precisely when Daniel was told it would happen, shortly after the Great Tribulation caused by the risen Beast (Dan. 12:7).

This is a heavenly event not visible to the earth and does not conflict with the chronology of the Second Coming and end time judgement; it marks the actual beginning of God’s Sovereign reign (Rev. 11:17) when His Temple fully opened to His human children (Rev. 11:17). The revelation of the sons of God and their access to Him is worthy of a cosmic display of God’s awesome power for He accomplished the impossible, making what was crooked straight (Rev. 11:19) and next the Vials of God’s wrath will be poured out (Rev. 15:7-8) making concrete His beginning to rule. The Temple is closed to man because the angels of Christ have gathered His elect (Mt. 24:29; Mk. 13:24), and there remains only the sinners to judge on the earth. Christ has removed all His assets to safety, now it will be seen the difference between those who served God, and those who did not (Mal. 3:16-18). The Lord YHWH God has so spoken, therefore so it shall be.
