Biblical Angels are physical not spirits. They appear as men and eat and drink:
1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
4 “Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
5 “And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” They said, “Do as you have said.”
6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”
7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.
8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate. (Gen. 18:1-8 NKJ)
The unscriptural speculation biblical angels materialize physical forms to be physical in our realm is a massive violation of Occam’s Razor, the work product of the Catholic Magisterium which ruled against their corporeality during the Fourth Lateran Council. Surprisingly, their hasty generalization fallacy is faithfully followed by Protestants to this day, which is why the “strong delusion” will be so compelling to the End-Time generation.
To manifest corporeal forms as the theory claims angels must have creative power to kill and make alive that scripture reserves for God alone (Deut. 32:39). A fantastical and bizarre theory, it clearly was plucked “out of the air” because nothing in scripture remotely suggests a “materialization process” when angels appear in our realm. They appear fully physical (Jdg. 6:11) while transiting the Multiverse (1 Cor. 13:10), entering our realm through an “opening” or “portal” (Mk. 9:1-7; Gen. 28:12; 2 Ki. 2:11; Ezek. 1:1; Joh. 1:51; Ac. 7:56; Rev. 4:1; 19:11) without a hint of any materialization process.
Support for the error is found by likening angels to God (Isa. 40:25; 46:5) claiming “just as a theophany does not presuppose God’s corporeality, neither does an angelophany.” That is circular however, angelophany is both the conclusion and premise. It is not an angelophany any more than our appearance in a room is a humanophany. Hence, when the resurrected Jesus ἔστη ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν (Lk. 24:36) “stood in their midst” He didn’t materialze a body to do this. He proved it was the same body by showing the imprint of the nails in hands and feet (Lk. 24:40). If these were “materialized wounds” in a materialized body then Jesus deceived them it was the same body He was crucified in, clearly an impossible proposition. Our LORD is not a deceiver.
Others claim our LORD ruled out corporeality when He said angels do not marry (Mt. 22:30; Mk. 12:25). But Jesus was not contradicting scripture (2 Pt. 2:4; Jude 1:6; Gen. 6:2, 4), neither do elect angels (1 Tim. 5:21) sin but that is a function of will, not nature. It follows from the contrast with “natural bodies” (σῶμα ψυχικόν) that “supernatural” or “spiritual bodies” (σῶμα πνευματικόν 1 Cor. 15:44) can be reshaped to suit the owner. This would explain the difference in appearance between the “Nordics” and the “Grays” etc. But they are still physical “bodies” (σῶμα) (1 Cor. 15:40, 42, 48-49).
Although partly corporeal and partly spirit like man (Rev. 16:14), man alone bears the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27). In one sense man is a reflex of God as in a mirror, God is One Substance in Three Persons (Mt. 28:19; 1 Jn. 5:7 [TR]), but Man One Person in three substances (1 Th. 5:23). It follows from this uniqueness angels follow the analogy of all beings endowed with life, they originated from two elements, material and Divine Spirit by divine Word of powe (Gen. 1:24). They are dichotomous in nature. Man’s soul originated differently, a special act of divine inbreathing of Spirit so he came to be a “living soul” in a physical body already created from the dust.
The hasty generalization confusing corporeal angels in heaven (Rev. 12:7-9) with spirits of disembodied demons (“spirits of demons” πνεύματα δαιμονων Rev. 16:14 compare Acts 23:8) who desperately seek a semblance of corporeality (cp. 2 Cor. 5:3) possessing insects (Mt. 12:24) animals (Mk. 5:12-13) and men (Mt. 8:16) after dying physically in the flood (Gen. 7:21-23), has made the church more likely to believe the “strong delusion” the returning Nephilim (Gen. 6:4; Rev. 12:4, 7-9) are the Elohim Designers of life. When they arrive in a fleet of ships, the entire earth will fall away from belief in God (2 Thess. 2:3-4).
The spirits of Angels who defiled the image of God in man via sexual relations (1 Cor.. 3:17) were denied re-entry into the TELEIOS (heaven) and died in the Flood of Noah’s day (Gen. 7:21-23). Their spirits were imprisoned either in “Tartarus” for the “sons of God” (2 Pet. 2:4) or the Abyss (Lk. 8:31; Rev. 9:1-2, 11) for the Nephilim demons. Similarly, the hybrid “angel human” spirits of the “men of renown” or “Titans” were segregated according to whether they were evil or not. Those who had not defiled God’s image but were evil joined the incorporeal spirits of demons to roam the earth as unclean spirits. But those who were righteous but refused to believe Noah’s preaching God would forgive their “Frankenstein nature”, were imprisoned separately from the “sons of God” angels cast into Tartarus, or the Demon Nephilim Fallen Ones cast into torment in the Abyss. Christ preached salvation to these hybrid “spirits in prison” before His resurrection (1 Pet. 3:18-22) and all who believed now “live according to God in the Spirit” (1 Pet. 4:6) eagerly waiting for the return of Christ joining their human counterparts who repented and believed after physical death (Heb. 9:27-28).
Unclean demons and spirits wandering the earth (Isa. 34:11; Jer. 50:37; Rev. 18:2) are not to be confused with corporeal demons still physical in heaven (Rev. 12:7-9). Both the apostle Paul and Pharisees distinguished incorporeal spirits from angels (Acts 23:8). The hapax legomenon in Heb. 1:14 does not contradict this, in context that is a discussion of their position and function (Heb. 1:7), not nature.
Heavenly beings travel from the TELEIOS to the MEROS through a portal:
12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it…
17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”(Gen. 28:12, 17 NKJ)
11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (2 Ki. 2:11 NKJ)
And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” (Jn. 1:51-2:1 NKJ)
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” (Rev. 4:1 NKJ)

Although the angel of the LORD was cloaked with invisibility when He stepped into our realm and sat under a tree, nothing suggests a change in corporeality:
11 Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
12 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” (Jdg. 6:11-12 NKJ)
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. (Matt. 28:2 KJV)
Spirits don’t do these things, physical beings do.
Angels war among themselves (Jdg. 5:20; Dan. 10:13, 20; Rev. 12:7), use weapons to kill (2 Chron. 32:21), (Num. 22:23) and fly in ships (Ezek. 1:4) and travel in craft rolling on powered wheels (Ezek. 1:15-21). These are the things corporeal beings do, not immaterial spirits.
There are also heavenly bodies (4983 σῶμα soma) and earthly bodies (4983 σῶμα soma), but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. (1 Cor. 15:40 NAS)
QUESTION—Does ‘heavenly bodies’ refer to stars and planets or to angels?
It refers to angels or heavenly beings [Alf, EGT, TNTC]. Σῶμα is not used elsewhere in Scripture to refer to inorganic entities. Also the context here calls for a contrast between bodies for inhabitants of the earth and bodies for inhabitants of Heaven, the angels [EGT]. The correct contrast to ‘heavenly bodies’, if these referred to stars, would be ‘the earth’, not ‘earthly bodies’. If it were impossible Paul be in heaven physically, he would have known he was “out of his body” while in third heaven (1 Cor. 12:2, 4).
Confirming the TELEIOS (where the dimensions of revelation of God is complete) is an alternate of our MEROS (where revelation of God is partial) and a place where physical beings like the Incarnate LORD Jesus, Moses, Elijah etc. exist, the city of New Jerusalem by all appearances is a physical city. It does not “materialize” as it “comes down” “out of heaven” (ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ), for then it didn’t actually exist in “heaven” (Rev. 21:2). No doubt Angels built it (Rev. 21:10-27).
When Michael casts Satan and his angels out of the TELEIOS (Rev. 12:7-12) they will claim to be the “Elohim Designers” of life on planet earth. Mankind is already conditioned by corporate media to believe “Ancient Alien theory”, and the Church’s irrational rejection of the corporeality of fallen angels (Gen. 6:4 Nephilim) will fuel the Great Revolt against all called God or worshiped prophesied to come (2 Thess. 2:3-4). The Church will be blindsided by the arrival of the Nephilim, they never saw it coming.
Normally angels have human like appearance (Gen. 18:2; Heb. 13:2) but Satan and fallen angels hate God so much they dislike appearing in the form that contains the “image and likeness” of God (Gen. 1:26-27). But as we hear from reports of “Nordic” aliens they can overcome their distaste. From UFO abduction reports and perhaps Rev. 16:13 “frogs” their likely appearance in the End will be “frog like reptilian”:
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. (Rev. 16:13 NKJ)

He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; (Rev. 20:2 NKJ)

The inspired BIG LIE strong delusion that gathers satanic and human armies to Armageddon (Rev. 16:13-14, 16) is absurd to the Nth degree, given God can “dissolve the multiverse” both TELIOS and MEROS with a thought. God will prove its absurdity when He rolls up like a scroll the sky above their heads, and they flee in sheer terror (Isa. 24:19-22; 2 Cor. 5:11):
14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
17 “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Rev. 6:14-17 NKJ)
Some have asked “if men are made a little lower than the angels” (Ps. 8:5) are they superior in intellect? How could God create man in His image and likeness intellectually below that of angels? (Gen. 1:26-27). The incarnate LORD Jesus will rule over all, including Angels in fully human form (Heb. 2:7- 9). How could that happen if He were in a form that is below that of angels in intellect? In Eph 3:7-13 God reveals mysteries “which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God” to “principalities and powers in heavenly places” (i.e., angels good and bad), through the Church (1 Pet. 1:12 cp. Dan. 10:21). Its inconsistent with that transmission of truth we are less intelligent than angels. Implicit in our judging angels (1 Cor. 6:3) at least equal intelligence, to make rendering correct judgment possible. Wherever angels engage humans, nothing suggests they must “dumb things down” (Gen. 16:7-14; 18:1-33; Judg. 13:2-21; Lk. 1:5-20, 26-38; Mt. 28:1-7).
However, they certainly are more powerful (2 Ki. 19:35) and live longer lives (Job 38:7) giving them great strategic advantage. Moreover, they can telepathically “hear” verbalized thought (Lk. 8:12), combined with knowledge of body language renders the possibility we can deceive them exceedingly small. Our victory is not predicated upon our ability but upon God (1 Jn. 4:4), on obedience to Him as He commands in His Holy Word (Eph. 6:11-18). Obey God’s Word and Satan with all his demons are defeated every time. Remember, all who believe in Christ will never die (Jn. 11:26), therefore martyrdom is our opportunity that will happen only once in eternity to glorify God the Eternal Son, Jesus Christ our LORD (Rev. 13:10; 14:12).
