Special Pleading

Special pleading is a claim xyz is the exception, that in this “special case” something very unlikely and unusual happened, something unique and special. Its like claiming: “This time I was able to hit the moon with a baseball.”

John is a Christian, always. Never a Jewish Mystic. Not once does he suggest Gematria will reveal Jesus or Scripture meant something other than what is stated. John NEVER uses Gematria to calculate additional meaning anywhere else, therefore it is special pleading to insist he does so in Revelation 13:18. There is ZERO possibility of that, given the apostolic teaching we are not to follow Jewish fable (1 Tim. 1:4; 4:7; 6:20; 2 Tim. 2:16; 4:3-4; Tit. 1:14).
