The Rise of the 666 Beast: Chapter 8 The Great Tribulation

great tribulation21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 “Then if anyone says to you,`Look, here is the Christ!’ or`There!’ do not believe it.
24 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 “See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you,`Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or`Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
27 “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28 “For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. (Matt. 24:22-28 NKJ)

The Great Tribulation begins when the man of sin morphs into the 666 Beast counting 3 ½ years from start of the week (Dan. 9:27; 12:7; Rev. 11:7; 13:9-10; 14:11-13). It begins with the Beast killing God’s two witnesses Moses and Elijah (Rev. 11:7). Tribulation kicks into higher gear after the Beast’s abominable image stands up alive and breathing (Rev. 13:14-15) via satanic arts 30 days later, or at 1,290 days (Dan. 12:11). For 45 days believers are martyred until the 1,335th day, then they are raptured (Dan. 12:12; Rev. 14:14-16). Upon seeing all these things, many believe but must endure to the end of this period (Mt. 24:13) to be gathered by Christ’s angels from the four quarters of the earth (Mt. 24:31; Dan. 12:1-2).

Its not likely God would “shorten” the tribulation by invalidating the above prophecy. Better to interpret the time of martyrdom would have been longer had God not shortened it.

End-Time context is needed to picture how great this tribulation will be. For 3 years and 1 month the fallen away church has sunk from greater apostasy to greater, following the “man who condones sin.” (2Th. 2:3-4). Then God removes His restraint of spiritism from the abyss and it pours out limiting God’s revelation light that falls upon the earth (Rev. 9:1-12). Incorporeal demons infest the air men breathe terrorizing and tormenting the antichrists who had accepted the “man of sin” as “the Christ”, until they fully convert to “scientific Atheism” accepting him as God. After five months the former sign and wonder working “Christians” are now followers of the Beast (1 John 2:18-19) fully aware he is the prophesied Antichrist to come.

What aided their “conversion” to the Beast was the failure of the Pretribulation Rapture theory. Unlike the shaken Thessalonians who thought the gathering/resurrection/rapture was past and they were left behind (2Th. 2:1-2. 2Tim. 2:18), the antichrists lost their faith entirely and became mockers (Jude 1:17-19: 2 Tim. 4:3-4).

They betrayed family and friends who hadn’t converted to the authorities:

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
10 “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. (Matt. 24:9-10 NKJ)

[However, these Reprobates are slaughtered, the Beast does not spare them. Christendom which is 1/3 of the earth’s population is so hated the Beast’s Nephilim Kings slaughter them all (Rev. 9:14-19). Amazingly, “the rest of mankind” weren’t concerned they could be betrayed next, they continued with their worship of demons unabated (Rev. 9:20-21).

On Judgment Day many former Christians turned Beast worshipers claim they still have affection for Jesus calling Him “lord lord”. They appeal to powerful works “done in His name” as proof they were “saved”, hence “always saved”. Christ rejects their premise, while Eternal Security is true they suffer a strong delusion: “He never knew them” therefore they never did anything by His Holy Spirit which proves they were never saved. It was evident by their lawlessness another inspired them (Mt. 7:22-23).

Their delusion of a personal relationship with Jesus was created by “another Jesus…another spirit” (2Cor. 11:4. Gal. 1:6. 1Tim. 4:1. 1Jn. 4:1-6). They worked miracles by Satan’s power just like the magicians Jannes and Jambres (2 Tim. 3:8). The power to live righteously was not manifest in their form of religion, it was lawless disobedient to scripture, which they had no love for. Their religion was a delusion created by the “mystery of lawlessness” (2Th. 2:7-12). They are clearly distinguished from real believers (2Th. 2:13-15). They are known by their fruits (Mt. 7:15-23)]

So the Great Tribulation seeks to end the name of Christ on the earth, especially among those who still believe in Him. The 666 Image of the Beast will be a quantum computing network artificial intelligent lifeform made in the Beast’s image, connected to every device. That gives it “God like powers” to hear and see everything in real time, and kill all who try to disconnect or harm it (Rev. 13:14-17). There will be no hiding from the Beast, self defense isn’t just discouraged, its against God’s will (Rev. 13:9-10). Rather than resist, thank God publicly for the opportunity to be martyred glorifying His Name confessing Jesus is LORD! (Mt. 10:32). Only those places not under the Beast’s control can offer refuge (Dan. 11:41).

The TARES the Devil sowed among the wheat (Mt. 13:24-30) turn on true believers and even each other (Mt. 24:10; Rev. 6:4) . Satan causes more false prophets (1Jn. 4:1-6) to rise working great signs and wonders. Now that everyone realizes the “man of sin” is not the Christ, false Christ’s spring up giving new hope for escaped from the Tribulation. The cry “look, here is the Christ! or ‘There’!'” (Mt. 24:23) is everywhere. When their prophecy proves false more TARES convert to the Beast, betraying family and friends who remain believers.

(Matt. 24:26-28 NKJ)

To contrast His visible spectacular return that everyone will see, Jesus highlights the “secret return theory” many end time prophets will proclaim. He won’t be hidden in the desert or secret room in the city, His return will be like lightning flashing from east to west everyone will see. Moreover, as He returns first to Armageddon to slay the armies of the beast (Rev. 19:11-21), its impossible this event be secret.

Additional revelation of this Great Tribulation period is found in Matthew 25:31-46. This is a judgment of all still alive after Armageddon so it sheds light on conditions just prior to Christ’s return. This occurs just before Christ’s 1,000 year Kingdom, before the Last Judgment (Rev. 20:4).

The conquering King Jesus arrives with His Holy Myriads, the Church His Royal priesthood gathered at His side (Mt. 25:31. 1Th. 4:14-18). In this account they are “Christ’s brethren” (Mt. 25:40, 45). The “sheep and goats” are those who survived Armageddon and are now being judged for what they did during the Great Tribulation.

Those who vicariously received Christ by receiving Christ’s brethren in their time of need proved they would have accepted Christ had they met Him (Mt. 25:34-40). These are saved by Grace.

Those who vicariously rejected Christ by rejecting Christ’s brethren in their time of need proved they would have rejected Christ if they met Him (Mt. 25:42-46). These are judged by their works.

There is no unfairness, all potentially reconciled to God via the Blood of Christ (Col. 1:19-20), they need only have faith in God’s salvation.

Perhaps this analogy will make this clear:

Drowning people frantically wave for others to save (works), but that does not save them. The lifeboat crew lifting them out of the water and carrying them to shore is what saved them, grace of the rescue crew, and not the work of the drowning. Frantically waving did not “pay” for the ride, it indicated their free will choice to be saved, it indicated their faith the rescuers could save them. It was the good pleasure and will of the rescue crew that saved them, not their will or desire to be saved.

Those who refused to wave indicated they didn’t want to be saved. So their drowning was because of their works.

God is not obligated to save anyone, its His undeserved kindness (grace) when He chooses to do so. His grace is open to all (Col. 1:19-20. 1Jn. 2:2) who believe (John 3:16-19).

Nothing humans say, do, or give can possibly pay for eternity in paradise, therefore all are saved by God’s grace. Only the blood of the Lamb redeems from hell. Therefore, not our choice. It remains God’s good pleasure and will He save through faith in Jesus (Eph. 1:9-10). By grace we are saved through faith not by works (Eph. 2:8-10; John 3:14-21)
