Want to be saved? Do what Peter did. Believe and confess publicly Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God and you will blessed just as Peter was. Jesus called him “son of the prophet Jonah” (Bar-Jonah) because like Jonah he had risen from the dead and was speaking the divine revelation of God publicly (“Jesus is the Christ, Son of the Living God”) which if a man believe, he will be saved:
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Matt. 16:15-17 NKJ)
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Rom. 10:13 NET)
Confess Jesus is LORD before men, and Jesus will confess you to God our Father in Heaven:
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (Matt. 10:32 KJV)
Repent, turn away from sin, desire God more than anything in life, and believe the Gospel confessing Jesus publicly and you will be saved:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom. 10:9-13 KJV)
Don’t delay:
For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Cor. 6:2 NKJ)
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mk. 1:15 KJV)
Do it now.
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (Jn. 20:31 KJV)
