The War Between God and Satan: The Seven Bowls

Not Tax Deductible

war between god and satanThe war between God and Satan gets real when the first four bowls target followers of the Beast with festering sores (Rev. 16:2). Then seafood dies in a poisoned sea (Rev. 16:3) and drinking water becomes blood to drink repaying them for slaughtering the church (Rev. 16:4-7). Then solar flares scorch with great heat (Rev. 16:8-9).

Imagine the scene. The Dragon and his Nephilim had convinced most God is the leader of an unfriendly alien race who are trying to prevent the advancement of the human race. They claimed they could defeat God and His army. But God has now attacked the followers of the Beast and their prosperity directly and they proved unable to prevent it. So they respond with false bravado, shaking their fist at the heavens wagging their tongues: “is that all you got! Unable to kill us, we’re still standing!” That is what their blaspheming the name of God means, they insulted His Deity refusing to repent and give Him glory as God Almighty, likely daring God to try again (Rev. 16:9).

The Fifth bowl strikes the very throne of the Beast and his kingdom cast into darkness. The tongues that wagged with insults are gnawed because of their pain from the sores (Rev. 16:10-11), but what most interpreters miss is the subtle change. They were blaspheming God as too weak to kill them off, now however they acknowledge He is much more powerful than they imagined. They begrudgingly acknowledge God has the upper hand, He is the God of Heaven. They continue to insult, but its desperate now, there is a definite lack of confidence.

The Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet, who seemed invincible, have proved to be powerless against God. But as God did to Pharaoh, permitting magicians deceive they could resist (Ex. 7:11-13, 22-23), so God now sends a strong deluding influence that convinces the earth to gather at Armageddon.

The Euphrates was the divinely ordained easternmost boundary (Gen. 15:18). In Genesis “east” is associated with rebellion:

Movement toward the east in Genesis, consequently, consistently appears in the context of rebellion and sin. Adam and Eve are expelled in an eastward direction from Eden (Gen 3:24), a direction in which the murderer Cain also moves (Gen 4:16) as well as a humanity that refuses to obey God and erects the tower of Babel (Gen 11:2–4). The momentum of catastrophe is finally reversed by Abraham’s movement away from the east toward the west, even as he forbids his family to return east (Gen 24:5–8). Catastrophe continues to strike those who, like Lot, prefer to move eastward (Gen 13:11–13).-Ryken, L., Wilhoit, J., Longman, T., Duriez, C., Penney, D., & Reid, D. G. (2000). Ancient maps put East on top, not North like today. Four angels bound in the river Euphrates are loosed to kill a third part of men, but its their 200 million demonic cavalry (Rev. 9:16-19) that do the actual killing. It follows the four angels were “demonic Kings of the East”, fallen angels from the “sun rising”, spiritual wickedness from heavenly places (Eph. 2:2; 6:12). The Euphrates dried up water representing the restraint of their evil is “now taken out of the way” (2 Th. 2:7) just as it was earlier in Revelation 9:1-3).

Now we connect the dots. The Beasts followers have lost heart; God seems more powerful than the combined forces of the Dragon, Beast and False Prophet and their wondrous technology. The evil triumvirate is losing, faithful worshiping of them is weakening (Rev. 13:4). So they mount a massive propaganda campaign, made more convincing by the use of deceiving spirits who provide the energy of delusion required to get everyone “back on board”. The spirits do signs and wonders authenticating the lie they can defeat God. Likely, the skies fill with unprecedented UFO spectacle. Rebellious earth is deceived, they join the Beast’s army at Armageddon to fight God (Rev. 16:13-14, 16).

As they gather at Armageddon, God sends another strong delusion putting a hook in the jaws of Gog and Magog, drawing them to attack Israel (Ezek. 38:2-39:29) where the Beast is also gathering forces. These the reports from the North and the East enrage him (Dan. 11:44-45).

When they are all in the plains of Megiddo, in the mountains of Israel, they all die the death.

03.3) The News from the East and North that Russia Turkey Iran and allies destroyed rebuilt Babylon enrages the Assyrian and he builds up his forces for a massive attack re-positioning them in Megiddo and mountains of Israel (Dan. 11:44-45), their proverbial “WaterlooArmageddon.

03.4 Upon seeing all these things come to pass many will convert to Christ and all who endure to the end (the arrival of Christ) will be gathered up by Christ’s Holy Angels (Mat. 24:13; Mk. 13:13) even though they missed the rapture:

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (Rev. 16:15) KJV

03.5) God reveals His terror and awe inspiring power on the earth, beginning with destroying the Dragon’s Nephilim UFO forces in the air (Rev. 16:17-21), also Gog and Magog on the mountains of Israel.

There is no place to hide as every possible refuge island or mountain flees away.

Christ and His armies enter the realm of our existence through an opening in the heavens (Rev. 19:11) which spectacle caused flashing lightning from east to west and was the “sign of the coming of the Son of man” (Mat. 24:27, 30-31) to utterly destroy the forces gathered at Armageddon (Rev. 19:11-21; 14:17-20). Blood “even unto horse bridles” symbolizes these died the death, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, there is no resurrection to life possible these destined for Second Death (Rev. 20:12-15). Those who accepted the Mark of the Beast or worshiped his image will be eternally tormented (Rev. 14:9-11) along with Satan and his Antichrist Beast and False prophet (Rev. 19:20; 20:10).

03.6) The sixth seal began with these events but covers what happens after Armageddon (Rev. 6:11-17). There is a great shaking (4578 σεισμός) that shakes not just the earth, but the entire matrix of heaven and earth. The Sun becomes black, and moon blood signifying this is the great and terrible day of the LORD (Joel 2:31; Mt. 24:29-31; Mk. 13:24-27). The rapture of the church already happened (Rev. 14:14-16), now Christ sends out His angels to gather all saved after the rapture, the Archangel Michael and forces gather the Elect of the children of Israel (Dan. 12:1; Joel 3:11-16). The stars of the heaven dissolve but Satan’s ufo fleet fall like dead leaves falling to the earth (Rev. 6:13-14; Is. 34:4; 2 Pet. 3:12) slain in the heavens by the strong wind of God the Holy Spirit the Sword of God (Isa. 34:4-5).

03.7) The very sky of our matrix will be rolled back like a scroll and everyone yet on earth are in total terror seeking to hide from God Almighty looking down at them (Rev. 6:15-17).

With this spectacular display, God showed how absurd the lie finite beings could win a fight with Infinite Almighty God.
