8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven.

The “little horn” is from the Seleucid Empire, the Grecian “leopard” (Dan. 7:6) body of the beast in Rev. 13:2. The Antichrist is called “the Assyrian” in some texts:

“Seven shepherds and eight princely men” = idiom for an adequate number of Christ’s army who respond to Israel’s prayers. Christ sends them when “He shall deliver us from the Assyrian.”
