An Explanation of Daniel’s 1260, 1290, 1335, 2300 Days

The Explanation of Daniel’s Days 1,260, 1,290, 1,335, 2,300 Days
Assembling a Jigsaw Puzzle following an incorrect picture will leave some pieces that don’t fit anywhere. That analogy explains why Interpreters, trying to force Daniel’s Days fit the picture of a Third Temple in Jerusalem and Antiochus-like Abomination which ends Jewish Sacrifices, can’t make Daniel’s Days 1,290, 1,335 and 2,300 fit naturally into their construct.
The claim the numbers are symbolic, refer to events beyond the end time “week”, or differ because of something unexplained happening, are manifestations of cognitive dissonance.
A Critical Thinker realizes the Jigsaw pieces don’t fit because the Interpreters have the wrong picture in view.
Daniel’s Days:
2,300 days
13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?”
14 And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.” (Dan. 8:13-14 NKJ)
1,260 days = “middle of the week” = 3 ½ years ends sacrifices and offerings to anything called God on earth (2 Thess. 2:3-4). These global sacrifice (02077 זֶבַח zebach) and offering (04503 מִנְחָה minchah) are different than the “Continual/Daily”(08548 תָּמִיד tamiyd ) given to God by Christendom taking up Christ’s cross daily. Their sacrifices end starting the End Time Clock (Dan. 12:11) when apostate Christendom receives the man of sin as the Christ.
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice (02077 זֶבַח zebach) and offering (04503 מִנְחָה minchah). And on the wing (03671 כָּנָף kanaph) of abominations (08251 שִׁקּוּץ shiqquwts) shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” (Dan. 9:27 NKJ)
1,260 days = “a time, times and half a time” = 3 ½ years
Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. (Dan. 12:7 NKJ)
1290 days counting from the start of the end time “week”, which begins when Christian apostates receive the man of sin as the Christ, their apostasy “taking away” (05493 סוּר cuwr) the Daily (08548 תָּמִיד tamiyd ) taking up the cross of Christ.
30 days more are required “to set up” the abomination of Desolation’s AI Network 666 membership only economy, 1,290 days.
“And from the time that the daily (08548 תָּמִיד tamiyd ) sacrifice is taken away (05493 סוּר cuwr), and the abomination (08251 שִׁקּוּץ shiqquwts) of desolation (08074 שָׁמֵם shamem) is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Dan. 12:11 NKJ)
Both the Beast and his image that will be set up are abominations causing desolation:

And from the time when the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination of the destroyer set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Dan. 12:11 NOY)
1,335 days
“Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. (Dan. 12:12 NKJ)
The End Time Clock begins when it receives the “man of sin” false Christ as the Christ, that apostasy taking their daily sacrifice to Christ away.

At 1,260 days the “man of Sin” morphs into the Antichrist Beast Son of Perdition. And he breaks the covenant he made with “the many” earth’s religious people, that they could still worship anything called God. He now exalts himself above them all (Dan. 9:27; 2 Thess. 2:3-4).
At 1,290 days another aspect of the abomination of desolation appears, it is the Artificial Intelligence made in the Beast’s Image, Networked to him giving him god like “real time” control over the economy (Dan. 12:11; Rev. 13:11-18)
At 1,335 Days the Church is Raptured (Dan. 12:12; Rev. 14:14-16).
Then Michael and his angels gather all who repented and believed after the rapture and destruction of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 39:1-7; Dan. 12:1; Mat. 24:31).
At 2300 days the faith of the Church the Sanctuary of God is Vindicated, victorious, declared right:
And he said unto me, Until two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings: then shall the sanctuary be vindicated. (Dan. 8:14 DBY)
And he said unto me: ‘Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be victorious.’ (Dan. 8:14 JPS)

Why do most translations refuse to translate this text literally? Translator bias, “this can hardly be said of the sanctuary”.
The Hebrew verb, weniṣdaq (the only occurrence of the niphal of ṣdq in the MT!) should mean “will be justified.” But this can hardly be said of the sanctuary.- Hartman, L. F., & Di Lella, A. A. But it can be said of the Church the Sanctuary of God.
At 2,300 days (counting from the beginning of the seven year week), just before the Bowls of God’s wrath are poured out, the Israel of God will be celebrating in heaven. Their faith in God justified by God’s judgments being made manifest:
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!
4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.” (Rev. 15:1-4 NKJ)
Other Dates:
The Holy city is tread underfoot for forty-two months, while God’s two witnesses prophesy (Rev. 11:2-3). Then the Seed of Satan (Gen. 3:15) Beast ascends to slay them and continues ruling for forty-two months (Rev. 13:5). Adding the two equals a seven year “week”, alluding to Daniel 9:27 where the covenant is kept till mid-week, then desolations begin.
The two witnesses prophesy and Lady Zion is in “the wilderness” protected and nourished for “one thousand two hundred and sixty days” (Rev. 11:3; 12:6). As 1,260 days doesn’t appear elsewhere, this might link the two. The “nourishment” is the preaching of God’s two witnesses. Therefore the “wilderness” is where God’s Sanctuary now is because Jerusalem has become like that “great city Babylon” spiritually called Sodom and Egypt (Rev. 11:8). The TARES cast out from the wheat are trampling the outer court.
That makes the true church one of the “sects” within the Religious Harlot Babylon the Great, but being nourished by God and kept spiritually clean. Location within Babylon the Great affords the church political protection against the face of the Dragon (Rev. 12:14-17; 18:4). Unbelievers who dwell on “the earth” (including the TARES in the courtyard) greedily drank up the river of spiritism spewed at Lady Zion meant to carry her away into idolatry (1 Cor. 12:2. 2 Th. 2:7-12. Rev. 12:15-16).
A Recap:
Both halves of the End Time seven year “week” are described as “a time and times and half a time”. Lady Zion is nourished in the wilderness, at the altar of God for “a time and times and half a time” (Rev. 12:14) until the Beast ascends, slays the prophets, and destroys Babylon the Harlot (Rev. 17:16-18; 18:1-3). Although the church escapes Babylon’s destruction (Rev. 18:4) the Great Tribulation “wears out the saints of the most High” during the last “time and times and half a time” (Dan. 7:25; 12:7; Rev. 14:8-13).
We don’t know the day or hour our LORD returns (Mat. 24:36), but that is because God may cut the days short (Mat. 24:22; Mark 13:20).
That principle applies to events that aren’t about His Return.
While we can calculate the rapture will occur precisely 1,335 days after Moses and Elijah begin preaching (Dan. 12:12. Rev. 14:14-16) counting from the start of the End Time “week” (Rev. 11:3), God may “shorten those days” catching us by surprise.
The end time seven year “week” (Dan. 9:27) begins when the False Christ is accepted into the apostate church condoning sin (2 Thess. 2:3-4), the apostasy removing Christendom’s “daily” sacrifices and offerings to God (Dan. 12:7, 11). Multiple events happen at one thousand two hundred and sixty days. Moses and Elijah are slain when the man of sin morphs into the Beast Son of Destruction Antichrist opposing the very definition of God declaring his hybrid nature above all the “Elohim Designers” which in “Scientific Atheism” means he denies the Father and the Son like a true Antichrist.
At “mid-week” he ends all religious worship of any God save himself, at one thousand two hundred and sixty days or 42 months (Rev. 13:5) thus ending all other sacrifices to God worldwide (Dan. 9:27).
Evidently the Antichrist requires 30 days to set up his 666 idolatrous membership only economy, 1290-1260=30. Then for 45 days the Great Tribulation martyring all who refuse his mark begins in earnest. Blessed is he who endures to the end the church’s trial to 1,335 days (Dan. 12:11-12) for they will be raptured (Dan. 12:1-2. Mat. 24:13. 1 Cor. 15:52. 1 Thess. 4:16-17. Rev. 14:9-16). Rev. 14:13 extends the open-door policy to include any new believers who convert after the rapture, for 2,300 days counting from the beginning of the end time week. (Mat. 25:31-33. Dan. 12:1-2).
Perhaps the seven-year end time week be “shortened” lest no flesh be saved (Mat. 24:22; Mark 13:20).
But I personally believe the Dates, with the benefit of hindsight, after all what is predicted occurs, will be found precise, amazingly so.
As in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man

The days of Christ’s coming will be like the days of Noah. In the days of Noah the Nephilim fallen angels walked on the earth (Gen. 6:4), so also after Michael casts Satan and his angels out of heaven and they appear on the earth (Rev. 12:7-12). God’s restraint of spiritism will be removed and that Wicked be revealed (2 Thess. 2:6-8).
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken…
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matt. 24:29-39 KJV)
Accordingly, Chuck Missler and a rising tide of Christian expositors find other parallels in the angelic manifestation in both the Days of Noah and the End Time. They see a “strong delusion” common to both, the delusion “fallen angels” will benefit mankind with their knowledge.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:13-14 KJV)
Just as Fallen Angels today disguise themselves as UFO Extraterrestrials, and deceive many their DNA experiments with abductees are for the benefit of mankind, so was the generation of Noah deceived by the Nephilim fallen angels they could circumvent God’s forbidding them immortality (Gen. 3:22-24) via sexual relationships with the unfallen angels the “sons of God” (Gen. 6:2-4). [Because God gave man the dominion over the earth (Gen. 1:26) and not angels, they are directly blamed for this hideous offense against God (Gen. 6:5).]
But Nephilim-human abominations weren’t limited to these immoral unions, they also used the “dark arts” of the fallen angels to alter the DNA of God’s peaceful herbivores (Gen. 1:30), changing them into the terrifying monsters we see buried in the fossil record by the Flood (Gen. 6:11-13). It is likely global pagan myth preserves an ancient memory of this mixing human/animal DNA.
In the book of Revelation it is revealed the “war against the woman’s seed” began after Adam and Eve were cast out of Eden (Gen. 3:14). It was then Satan cast his angels down to the earth to destroy the woman’s seed (Rev. 12:3-4)
God countered their attack sending His angels the “sons of God” (Gen. 6:2). As spiritual war raged on the earth, both sides competing for the hearts of men—A satanic-human conspiracy was born. Men gave their beautiful daughters to the Nephilim, who paraded their immoral unions before the eyes of the “sons of God” seducing them into leaving their own habitation and doing the same (2 Pet. 3:3-7; Jude 1:17-18), taking wives as many as they chose:
1 When humankind began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humankind were beautiful. Thus they took wives for themselves from any they chose.
3 So the LORD said, “My spirit will not remain in humankind indefinitely, since they are mortal. They will remain for 120 more years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days (and also after this) when the sons of God were having sexual relations with the daughters of humankind, who gave birth to their children. They were the mighty heroes of old, the famous men.
5 But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time. (Gen. 6:1-5 NET)
This was a conspiracy against the incarnation of the woman’s seed in truly human flesh. They defiled the image of God in man with the image of angels, hoping to prevent the birth of the Messiah Jesus Christ (Gen. 3:14; 6:4 compare Gen. 6:2).
Therefore, it is not unsound we deduce other parallels exist in modern UFO phenomena and the angelic manifestation in the Days of Noah. As it is our LORD Jesus Himself who put these respective “days” in apposition, they must be like each other in many respects.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. (Rev. 16:12 KJV)
Notice the war against Lady Zion’s seed began in Antediluvian times (Gen. 3:15). After the Fall of Adam and Eve Satan cast a third of heaven’s angels who joined his rebellion to earth (Rev. 12:2-4). But in the End Time its the Archangel Michael who casts these same angels out of heaven (Rev. 12:7-9). That implies they were on the earth for a time and eventually they returned to heaven—only to be cast down again, but this time by Michael in the End Time (compare Rev. 9:1; 2 Thess. 2:7).
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. (Rev. 12:1-4 NKJ)
[The prophecy then “telescopes” to the resurrection of Christ, but that is for another post (Rev. 12:5)]
When Michael kicks them out, its woe to the earth because they appear disguised as Extraterrestrials, and that strong delusion overtakes the entire earth (Rev. 6:2; 16:12-16; 2 Thess. 2:9-12). They claim to be the “Elohim Designers of life on planet earth” (Rev. 12:7-9) and that precipitates a global falling away (2 Thess. 2:3-4) from everything called God. Ironically, then Creationist Intelligent Design arguments will be accepted by earth’s scientists, but only because they will believe Extraterrestrials are the “Designers”, never YHWH God of the Bible.
The Sign of Jesus’ Coming will be an Opening in the Heavens

Both Matthew and Jesus refer to the sign of Jesus’ coming as a sign event, something people will see in heaven:
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign (4592 σημεῖον semeion) of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matt. 24:3 NKJ)
“Then the sign (4592 σημεῖον semeion) of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matt. 24:30 NKJ)

Meaning: 1) a sign, mark, token 1a) that by which a person or a thing is distinguished from others and is known 1b) a sign, prodigy, portent, i.e. an unusual occurrence, transcending the common course of nature 1b1) of signs portending remarkable events soon to happen.-Strong’s Concordance, copied from BibleWorks 10.0
According to a first century text (Didache or Teaching of the Twelve Apostles) the sign of Jesus’ coming would be an opening in the sky:
And then the signs of the truth shall appear: first, a sign of an opening in heaven; then a sign of the sound of a trumpet; and the third sign, the resurrection of the dead. Now, not all of the dead but as was said, the Lord shall come and all the holy ones with him. Then the world will see the Lord coming upon the clouds of heaven.-Brannan, R. (Trans.). (2012). That Christ and His Holy Myriads (Jude 1:14) enter our realm through an opening in the sky is confirmed in the book of Revelation:
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.
13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. (Rev. 19:11-14 NKJ)
At some point lightning will flash in the heavens around this opening:
“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matt. 24:27 NKJ)
Therefore, the coming of Christ is heralded by celestial events, that everyone will see. Its likely an opening into our dimension, a portal in the sky. This sign is clearly an event separate and distinct from our LORD’s coming itself.
The war between God and Satan unfolds rapidly as the seven bowls of God’s wrath are poured out. Followers of the Beast receive festering sores (Rev. 16:2). Seafood dies in a poisoned sea (Rev. 16:3). Drinking water becomes foul tasting blood (Rev. 16:4-7).
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.”
2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.
3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.”
7 And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” (Rev. 16:1-7 NKJ)
Solar flares scorch followers of the Beast (Rev. 16:8-9), they respond with fake bravado blaspheming the Name of God as inferior to the hybrid Elohim-human Adonikam seed of Satan (Gen. 3:15), just as occurs in Revelation 13:6 where God is equated with His angels and heaven itself just another dimension of existence.
8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. (Rev. 16:8-9 NKJ)
The context of the End-Time “strong delusion” is “scientific Atheism”, the “BIG LIE” Falsehood inspired by demons that YHWH God is an Extraterrestrial Elohim who cannot stand against the combined forces of the Dragon and Beast at Armageddon (Rev. 16:13-14)
Emperor Adonikam the little horn king with Big Mouth (Dan. 7:8, 11, 20-25; 8:9-12; 11:36-37; Mt. 24:3-5, 15; Rev. 13:5; 2 Thess. 2:3-4) boasts “I am above all Elohim and hybrid Elohim-human, as the seed of the Cherub Satan (Gen. 3:15; Ez. 28:14; 2 Thess. 2:3-4) I am above all called Elohim including the God of Gods YHWH Himself”.
Then YHWH God shocks the Beast’s followers scorching them with solar flares. With false bravado they rail against God: “Is that all you got? You don’t dare come down here and fight against the Beast and his Dragon Commander Nephilim forces!”
10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. (Rev. 16:10-11 NKJ)
Notice the change, after God strikes the very throne of the Beast the blasphemers now admit YHWH is “the God of heaven”, but they cling to their delusions of defeating YHWH at Armageddon.
The Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet, who seemed invincible proved powerless against God! Reality was contradicting the “BIG LIE” delusion, only YHWH God is winning!
The King of the South leading Egypt, Libya and Ethiopian and nearby nations sense weakness and attack the Beast:
40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through.
41 “He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.
42 “He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 “He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. (Dan. 11:40-43 NKJ)
Gog and Magog and allies sense weakness and attack the Beast, destroying his Capital city Babylon.
The ten kings supporting Adonikam destroyed the Religious Harlot Babylon the Great when he morphed from Chancellor Adonikam False Christ Man of Sin into the Beast Son of Destruction at “mid-week” (2 Thess. 2:3-4; Rev. 13:1-5).
Russia and surrounding countries (Gog and Magog) oppose the NWO and destroy with fire the “eighth king/kingdom of the seven” (Rev. 17:11), the rebuilt city of Babylon that was “healed from its death wound” by fallen angel technology, “rising from the abyss” of spiritism (Rev. 17:8; 9:1-3).
Rebuilt Babylon goes off into total destruction fulfilling OT prophecy (Jer. 50:3, 13, 39-40; 51:29; Rev. 18:2-10). Forces from her North (Jer. 50:41-42; 51:47-48) destroy her utterly, but it is God’s judgment against her (Rev. 17:16-17; 18:8; Isa. 13:19-22; Jer. 51:63-64; Rev. 18:21) that caused this.
Then Britain and America unite under a single leader that together are symbolized by the two horned Beast that rises from land (Rev. 13:11-12). These strengthen the wounded Beast whose Empire was wounded when its Capital destroyed, which caused a global depression (Rev. 18:15-19). Russia and allies stand down temporarily.
The Anglo-American false prophet deceives the earth to build the Quantum Computing AI network patterned in the image of the Beast to manage the world’s diminished resources. This image gives Beast Adonikam god like powers to “see” and “hear” and kill in real time via any device plugged into the network (Rev. 13:12-15).
At 1290 days or 30 days after Chancellor Adonikam morphs into the Son of Perdition Beast, the abomination of Desolation Quantum AI Network image is set up. The 666 Mark Membership only economy begins, and the Great Tribulation of the Church almost wipes true followers of Christ off the earth in 45 days. After 1,335 Days counting from beginning of End Time Week, the church raptured.
Gog and Magog (Russia, Turkey and surrounding nations and Iran) attack Israel from her North while the Beast is still in Egypt subduing the King of the South:
“But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. (Dan. 11:44 NKJ)
Before Adonikam can engage Gog the prince of Russia and allies, God destroys them on the mountains of Israel:
14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog,`Thus says the Lord GOD: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?
15 “Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.
16 “You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” (Ezek. 38:14-16 NKJ)
YHWH God Himself destroys God and Magog and all their hoard, in the valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:12-17) outside the city of Jerusalem:
18 “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “that My fury will show in My face.
19 “For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: `Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel,
20 `so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’
21 “I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord GOD. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
22 “And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 “Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.”‘ (Ezek. 38:18-39:1 NKJ)
This exhibition of YHWH God’s Almighty power strikes fear into the heart of the followers of the Beast.
The Beast’s followers lost courage; God’s Name as the God of gods has been vindicated. His Almighty power has easily defeated every foe. The combined forces of the Dragon, Beast and False Prophet and their wondrous technology seem powerless to stop YHWH God. Gog and Magog marvelously effaced off the earth.
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. (Rev. 16:12 NKJ)
God lifts the restraint of the Nephilim “Kings of the sunrising,” demon forces can cross the symbolic Euphrates border of the land of Israel. Both UFO ships and demon calvary can now enter the land of Israel.
A fresh dose of spiritism, the energy of delusion floods the earth so they again believe the BIG LIE of Scientific Atheism, the Falsehood the Antichrist is God and that he can defeat YHWH God and his heavenly host. This strengthens the Beast’s followers so they gather to fight God at Armageddon:
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:13-14 NKJ)
Demonic flying frogs symbolize the ufo delusion.
Evil spirits do great signs and wonders authenticating the lie YHWH God can be defeated (2 Thess. 2:3-4, 9-12). The skies fill with unprecedented UFO spectacle (Mt. 24:24-25; Lk. 21:25-26).
God permits some of His angelic hosts be defeated in battle to harden the hearts of His enemies (Dan. 8:10-11) just like He did to Pharaoh (Ex. 7:11-14).
10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.
11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered. (Dan. 8:10-12 NKJ)
Rebellious earth is deceived, all join the Beast’s army at Armageddon to fight God (Rev. 16:13-14, 16).
Only those written in the Lamb’s Book of Life “understand and so see” the truth of these events. They convert to Christ. All who endure to this end will be gathered up by Christ’s Holy Angels (Mat. 24:13; Mk. 13:13) even though they missed the rapture, not a hair on their head will be lost (Luke 21:16-22):
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (Rev. 16:15) KJV

The Seventh Bowl ends the war. This is a telescoped prophecy begins with at the start of the sixth seal. The Beast’s armies surround Jerusalem (Lk. 21:20-22; Mt. 24:15-22; Mk. 13:14-19) infesting the mountains of Israel at Armageddon, Nephilim UFO fleet in skies above:
Satan’s “angels” (= “stars” Rev. 1:20; 9:1) fall from the heavens like “untimely figs” while a Great Hail bombards his armies on earth:
Come near, you nations, to hear; And heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, The world and all things that come forth from it.
2 For the indignation of the LORD is against all nations, And His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter.
3 Also their slain shall be thrown out; Their stench shall rise from their corpses, And the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; All their host shall fall down As the leaf falls from the vine, And as fruit falling from a fig tree. (Isa. 34:1-4 NKJ)
All possible places of escape vanish, there is no place to hide from Christ and His Holy Myraids:
20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great. (Rev. 16:19-21 NKJ)
Only people can flee, therefore the islands and mountains in Rev. 16:20 are figurative of the earth’s governments, as in the book of Isaiah (Is. 41:1, 5; 42:4; 49:1; 51:5, 18). That they don’t disappear is clear from the prophecy in Isa. 60:9 where the islands will worship God in His kingdom. Mountains are also kingdoms (Dan. 2:35, 45), all the main empires over which ancient Babylon the Harlot infected the earth with idolatry and sorcery Rev. 17:9, 18. Confirming “mountains” here are figurative of earth’s governments, the Beast and his armies are seen hiding upon literal mountains after this event, at Armageddon (Rev. 6:15-17)
12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,

The sign of Christ’s coming appears (Mt.24:3, 30-31), a great “opening” in the Sky and Christ’s angels go forth to gather all who missed the Rapture but repented of their disbelief:
30 “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The “mighty”(2478 ἰσχυρός ischuros) Nephilim “Kings of the sunrising” (395 ἀνατολή Anatole) (Rev. 16:12; 19:18) are slain alongside the Beast’s human army by the King of Kings Jesus Christ our LORD (Rev. 19:11-21).
Imprisoned in their appropriate places in Hell they wait for the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28-29; Rev. 20:11-15) on Judgment Day.
21 It shall come to pass in that day That the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.
22 They will be gathered together, As prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.
23 Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the LORD of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously. (Isa. 24:21-23 NKJ)

In Jerusalem that “great city” that was surrounded by the Beasts armies a great earthquake divides the city into three parts, and a third of its inhabitants are purged of their idolatries when they see what was prophesied come to pass:
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zech. 13:8-14:1 KJV)
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. (Zech. 13:8-14:3 KJV)

Rev. 16:19b And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

A brief review of these overlapping Sixth Seal and Seventh Trumpet events:
The sign of Christ’s coming is an opening in the heavens (Rev. 19:11) flashing lightning from east to west (Mat. 24:27, 30-31).
He who bears the two edged sword will soon ride through it, with His holy myriads to execute judgment on the ungodly for all the ungodly things they said about Him in an ungodly way (Jude 1:14-15).
God’s Spirit a Mighty Wind shakes the heavens, flying wings of abomination fall from the sky like leaves from a tree. The mighty Nephilim slain where they stand (Is.13:4-13; 24:17-22; 34:1-8; Rev. 6:12-13; 16:17-21).
In terror men try to flee but every possible island or mountain of refuge flees (Rev. 16:20).
Then the aerial bombardment begins (Rev. 16:21).
Christ the King Arrives to destroy the Satanic and Earthly forces gathered at Armageddon (Rev. 19:11-21; 14:17-20). Blood “even unto horse bridles” symbolizes these died the death, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, there is no resurrection to life possible these destined for Second Death (Rev. 20:12-15). Those who accepted the Mark of the Beast or worshiped his image will be eternally tormented (Rev. 14:9-11) along with Satan and his Antichrist Beast and False prophet (Rev. 19:20; 20:10).
The “telescoped prophecy” in the sixth seal included some of the above events, and also includes what happens after Armageddon (Rev. 6:11-17). There is a great shaking (4578 σεισμός seismos) violently shaking the entire matrix of the meta-universe. The Sun becomes black, and moon blood signifying this is the great and terrible day of the LORD (Joel 2:31; Mt. 24:29-31; Mk. 13:24-27). The rapture of the church already happened (Rev. 14:14-16), now Christ sends out His angels to gather all saved after the rapture, the Archangel Michael and forces gather the Elect of the children of Israel (Dan. 12:1; Joel 3:11-16). The “stars of the heaven” (cp. Rev. 12:4) Satan’s UFO fleet fall like dead leaves falling from a tree (Rev. 6:13-14; Isa. 34:4). The Nephilim “mighty ones” and armies of the Beast are slain:
17 Fear and the pit and the snare Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 And it shall be That he who flees from the noise of the fear Shall fall into the pit, And he who comes up from the midst of the pit Shall be caught in the snare; For the windows from on high are open, And the foundations of the earth are shaken.
19 The earth is violently broken, The earth is split open, The earth is shaken exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again.

The very sky of our matrix will be rolled back like a scroll and everyone yet on earth are in total terror seeking to hide from God Almighty looking down at them (Rev. 6:15-17). Then every eye shall see the Son of man coming in His glory, the Saints human and angelic are with Him. Through the opened sky He and His holy myriads ride:

19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Rev. 19:11-21 NKJ)
With this awesome display power, God proved the Big Lie absurd, Satan and his co-conspirators never a chance.
Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished (Prov. 11:21 NKJ)
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (Mat 24:4-5 compare Mk. 13:5-6; Lk. 21:8)
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. (Rev. 6:2 KJV)
Wars and rumors of wars; Famines, pestilences and earthquakes are only beginning of sorrows:
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom (Rev. 6:3-4): and there shall be famines (Rev. 6:3-4), and pestilences (Rev. 6:7-8), and earthquakes, in divers places (Rev. 6:12). All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Mat 24:6-8 compare Mk. 13:7-8; Lk. 21:9-11; Jer. 51:46)
During the Great Tribulation Persecution of the Church, many will stumble as pre-tribulation rapture and other false prophecies fail to occur. Many False prophets will rise claiming Christ is near but their lies result in more apostasy, betrayal and hate for one another:
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mat 24:9-13 KJV. Mk 13:12-13. Lk. 21:16-17)
The Great Tribulation martyrs most of the church:
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. (Rev 6:9-11)
The “Gathering” or “Rapture” isn’t revealed in the seals. The end time week begins when the “man of sin” false Christ enters the apostate church (2 Th. 2:3-4) ending its daily sacrifice of prayer and offering to God and Moses and Elijah appear to bear witness against them and unbelieving Israel (Rev. 11:1-6).
Five months before midweek God stops restraining the demons in the abyss (Rev. 9:1-6) and these torment the TARES in Christendom till they convert to the New World Religion of the Beast (compare Mt. 7:22-23). Accepting the Beast’s mark does not spare them from the wrath of Satan for his demon cavalry goes forth killing the third part of mankind that once called itself Christian. So hated for former Christianity, they are all slain with the Harlot ecclesiastical Babylon (Rev. 13:14-18; 14:8-11; 17:16-18; compare Rev. 18:6-8). Everyone they exploited or preached to now seek their death burning them with fire for they demonstrated everything they claimed to believe was “a self-serving holier than thou lie.” (compare Is. 65:3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
Sometime after the obsolete Ecclesiastical Harlot—whose premises are in opposition to the NWO of the Beast; is destroyed by the Ten Kings ruling with Emperor Adonikam, Russia and surrounding countries oppose the NWO by destroying with fire the “eighth king/kingdom of the seven” (Rev. 17:11). The rebuilt city of Babylon that was “healed from its death wound” by fallen angel technology, hence seen “rising from the abyss” (Rev. 17:8; 9:1-3). Rebuilt Babylon goes off into total destruction fulfilling the OT prophecies of Babylon’s destruction (Jer. 50:3, 13, 39-40; 51:29; Rev. 18:2-10). By forces from her North (Jer. 50:41-42; 51:47-48), but it was God’s judgment against her (Rev. 17:16-17; 18:8; Isa. 13:19-22; Jer. 51:63-64; Rev. 18:21).
Britain and America rise to ally themselves with the weakened Emperor Adonikam and their overwhelming military and satanically enhanced technology puts down the rebellion uniting those who dwell on the earth under him and the Dragon (Rev. 13:11-17).
To recap, at 1,260 days Chancellor Adonikam morphs into the Emperor of the Roman Empire Beast becoming the Big Mouth Son of Destruction Antichrist (Dan. 7:8; 9:27; 2 Th. 2:3-4; 1 Jn. 2:18; Rev. 13:5) denying the deity of the Father and the Son. They also insult the holy angels, claiming God and the angels are actually less powerful extraterrestrials (Rev. 13:6; Dan. 7:8; 11:36) the Dragon with his Nephilim Kings of the East and human allies can defeat (Rev. 16:12-16). The Dragon and Beast require an additional 30 days to set up abomination that causes desolation, after putting down the rebellion against their authority with the help of Britain and America. They overcome the misgivings of many deceiving them to build the 666 Mark network to counter the depression caused by the destruction of the city of Babylon (Rev. 18:11). Formerly liberty loving free market advocates Britain and America now speak like a dragon advancing tyranny through an economy run by a “living” quantum computing artificial intelligent network whose connection to every device grants it god like powers to see and hear everything in real time and respond simultaneously, and which can defend itself should any try to disconnect (Dan. 12:11; Rev. 13:14-17).
On day 40 of the Great Tribulation (Rev. 13:7; Dan. 7:21; 12:7) the rapture occurs at 1335 days or 75 days after “midweek” (Dan. 12:12; Rev. 14:12-16). [Either these are symbolic “times” or we can’t know with precision when the count begins (Mt. 25:13; Mk. 13:32; Lk. 21:46). However, these things are among what indicates He is near (Mt. 24:32-35; Mk. 13:28-31) hence I believe its close to the actual time of events if not precisely as written].
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mat 24:13; Mk. 13:13; Lk. 21:18-19).
The rapture is not to be confused with Christ sending His angels to gather those who repented after the Rapture, just before Armageddon (Mt. 24:29-31; Mk. 13:24-27). The Rapture is completely different, the dead rise and the living are changed in a twinkling of an eye and meet Christ in the air (1 Cor. 15:52; 1 Th. 4:13-18; 2 Th. 2:1-4), no angels are involved. Many seeing all these things occur repent and believe so these saved after the Rapture are the ones Christ’s angels go forth to gather including now believing Israelites (Dan. 12:1; Mt. 24:31; Mk. 13:27).
The “sign of Christ’s coming” will be the “opening” of a huge dimensional portal with blazing lightning flashing which will wait for Christ and His armies to enter our Matrix through it (Rev. 19:11). The sixth seal corresponds to events that happen after the seventh bowl is poured out and the Beast’s armies try to flee, but every island and mountain of refuge fled in terror of the LORD God Almighty:
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The armies gathered at Megiddo and on the mountains of Israel are struck with an aerial bombardment first to “soften them up” for the cavalry:

The sixth seal flashes forward to the time after the Satan’s Nephilim fleet of ships the “stars of heaven” (Rev. 12:4) fall like leaves from the sky (Isa. 34:4) and all the Armies of men and fallen angel are destroyed in the mountains and plains of Israel (Isa. 34:5-10. Everyone will see God’s awesome power and the terror of the LORD (2 Cor. 5:11) will cause them to cry out in fear. The demon inspired propaganda that gathered them to Armageddon (Rev. 16:13-14; 2 Th. 2:9-12) was a strong delusion, empirically wrong.
God contradicted the absurdity of Satan’s deception by shaking the entire matrix of heaven and earth as if it were a feather so violently the Dragon’s UFO fleet fall like dead leaves from a tree and every mountain and island is moved from its place. They mighty Nephilim Kings of the East fallen angel are physically slain and these disembodies “spirits of demons” go to the Abyss. The Beast’s human army will join them after Judgment Day (Is. 24:21-22; Rev. 20:11-15).
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

The Seventh Seal symbolizes the Trumpets are directed mainly against the apostate church, hence its fire from the altar that consumes men. Normally the altar is where redemption happens, now it repays the TARES for what they did to the WHEAT, fire comes forth to consume those cast out into the outer courtyard (Rev. 8:1-5; 11:1-2).
The final seal resets the time back to the beginning of the end time week. Christendom should have been mankind’s source of divine food and living water but that has been poisoned by the Dragon and his ancient alien gospel. The burning mountain of Babylon’s lies has poisoned Christendom’s waters depriving the earth of life. The false Christ rider on the White Horse with his ancient alien theory seemingly confirmed by the arrival of Satan and his angels disguised as UFO aliens has conquered the earth. Woe to the earth (Rev. 12:7-12), for Satan knows he has little time, so he will create the crisis conditions of war, famine and pestilence seen in the first four seals to facilitate the radical social change he has in mind.

What did the apostle John reveal when he said: “It is the last hour”?

Little children, it is a last hour; and just as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come to be—[from which] we know that it is a last hour. (1 Jn. 2:18) Literal Translation
John did not say “it is THE last hour”, the definite article is lacking which allows for a qualitative or anarthrous reading “it is last hour” or “a last hour”. John does not assert “the last hour has fully come, but that conditions characteristic of the last hour are now being observed.” The apostasy then occurring in his church happens also just before the Antichrist makes his appearance. “Just as…even now” suggests an analogy, events foreshadow the coming of the Antichrist in the future. The antichrists are evidence, from which we “know it is a last hour”.
If John were predicting the Antichrist would soon appear, it follows he would have given instructions on what to do at that time. Nothing like that is in the context.
This is “the apostasy” Paul says, “comes first” before the arrival of the Man of Sin (2 Thess. 2:3). John reveals what will happen:
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. (1 Jn. 2:19 NKJ)
These were Tares sown among the Wheat (Mt. 13:24-30, 36-42). Just as Tares resemble Wheat at first, so too antichrists appear to be Christians, but as they mature their true identity is revealed. It is implied the counterfeit was so good, only their leaving manifested their true identity. It follows the signs and wonders they did in John’s church were indistinguishable from those Christians did (cp. Mt. 7:22-23; 2 Thess. 2:9-10). However, John says they always had an “inner witness” something was not right, their anointing (the Holy Spirit) enabled them to “know all things”, that “no lie is of the truth” (1 John 2:20-21).
The followers of Cerinthus or some Jewish Christian or early Docetic Gnostics were the likely antichrist’s John described, denying the Father and the Son, and Jesus’ incarnation (1 John 2:22-23).
Mainline Pentecostal churches do not deny Christ or His Incarnation so they cannot be these antichrists, regardless what one thinks about their signs and wonders. But it follows from John’s description that during the great “falling away” many will depart to follow the new religion of the miracle working “man of sin”, the genitive implies preaching against sin is not what he does. Sinfully denying Jesus is the Christ, disputing Trinitarian teaching about Father and Son, follows from 2 Thess. 2:4 “who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God.”
Notes
The assertion (v. 18a). “It is the last hour” (ἐσχάτη ὥρα ἐστίν) marks the crucial situation. The term “last hour” obviously was not intended as a literal chronological assertion. Since the original does not have the definite article, two renderings, “the last hour,” or “a last hour,” are possible. In support of the former rendering, commonly used in English versions, it is held that the expression is sufficiently definite without the article, “for there can be only one last hour.” Or it may be viewed as a technical term that does not need the definite article.2 But some like Westcott3 insist on rendering the phrase “a last hour.” Since this exact expression occurs only here in the New Testament, Lenski feels that it cannot be treated as a well-known concept that needed no article, and so he asserts, “The term is plainly qualitative.”4

Woman clothed with the sun is Lady Zion mother of us all
Lady Zion is the “Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16), Jews and Gentiles born in the Truth of God. Mount Zion, from which God’s Law goes forth was in Jerusalem, therefore Lady Zion “Jerusalem” (Isa. 2:3) is the Mother of us all (Gal. 4:26).
God rules the earth through her Kings and Priests, His light shining by the Sun in day and moon at night (Gen. 1:16-18). The twelve stars are her children descendants of Abraham’s seed via the twelve tribes.
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. (Rev. 12:1-2 NKJ)
This “great sign” is in timeless heaven (cp. Rev. 13:8), she appears at the Fall of Adam and Eve when the Dragon’s war against her seed began (Gen. 3:15; Rev. 12:4). Satan cast his angels the Nephilim down to the earth (Rev. 12:4; Gen. 6:4) conspiring with Mankind (seven heads, ten horns = human governance) hoping to corrupt the human genome destroying the image of God in man, making impossible the incarnation of the Son of God in truly human flesh. Their failure to prevent the birth of the Messiah and through Him the “Israel of God” is why demons still cannot confess “Jesus Christ has come in the flesh” (1 John 4:2), they choke on the words. That was their greatest failure.
Isaiah confirms Lady Zion is the woman with child, prophesying the birth of Christ would actually be the birth of the Israel of God:
7 “Before she was in labor, she gave birth; Before her pain came, She delivered a male child.
8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to Satan’s War against the Woman’s Seed, the Child of the Daughter of Zionher children.
9 Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the LORD. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God.
10 “Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her; (Isa. 66:7-10 NKJ)
Save Family and Friends using the keys of the Kingdom: Mt 16:18

From the perspective of timeless eternal God (Is. 57:15. 2 Pet. 3:8) Simon was “born again” when he confessed Jesus “is the Christ the Son of the living God (Mt. 16:16; 10:32; Rom. 10:8-9). Those truths are the keys of the kingdom.
Jesus confirms this declaring Simon has been wonderfully “blessed” then likening him to the prophet Jonah who figuratively rose from the dead preaching divine revelation (Mt. 16:18-19; Eph. 2:5; Col. 3:1; Rom. 6:4; Jonah 2:1-3:2) Jesus often saw analogies to the prophet Jonah (Mt. 12:39-40; 16:4). Matthew draws attention to this choosing not to translate the Aramaic “Barjona” (920 βαριωνᾶ), whereas John did when referring to Simon’s literal father (John 1:42 Σίμων ὁ υἱὸς Ἰωνα).
Keys open doors (Jdg. 3:25; Is. 22:22; Lk. 11:52; Rv. 1:18; 3:7; 9:1; 20:1), Jesus is the door into the kingdom (Jo. 10:7-9; 14:6)—therefore the twin truths “Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God” (Mt. 16:16) are the precise “keys of the kingdom”.
Jesus put into the future giving these keys to Peter (Mt. 16:19) because they didn’t exist at that time. They would come into existence in the future as Jesus rose from the dead (1 Co. 15:21-22. 1 Pet. 3:21).
These keys are part of the channel of God’s grace therefore receiving them is a function of becoming part of that channel of living water (life) to the world, flowing from Christ the petra/lithos (1 Cor. 10:4. 1 Pet. 2:2-7).
As Simon is the “Cephas” “first” (Mt. 10:2) of the “lively stones… of the royal priesthood” (1 Pt. 2:5) from whose bellies would flow the same spiritual drink of Christ (Jo. 7:38. 1 Co. 10:4), he prefigures them. Just as Peter received the keys when he became part of the channel of God’s grace, so do all believers. The “binding and loosing” authority must be independent of these keys as they are not mentioned in connection with it in Matthew 18:18-18.
As promised, you have learned the precise knowledge opening the way into heaven and can easily lead family and friends into God’s presence and eternal life. When they believe and confess publicly the LORD Jesus, He confesses them to His Father in heaven and they are saved (Mt. 10:32; Rom. 10:8-13).
Moreover, Matthew 16:16-19 illustrates salvation by grace alone, through faith alone (Eph. 2:5-8). Also Peter illustrates “eternal security”, his denying Christ thrice (Mt. 26:34, 69-75) didn’t cause him to lose his salvation.
Paul alludes to Peter’s example when teaching the eternal security of believers:
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. (2 Tim. 2:13 KJV)
These amazing facts became known in Matthew 16:16-19 where our LORD revealed precisely how He would build His church one soul at a time upon that petra rock of unchanging life giving truth.
When the Roman Empire destroyed the nation of Israel, knowledge of the precise pivot word Jesus used to illustrate how He would build the church was lost. That unique Palestinian Hebrew and Aramaic Christ and His disciples spoke became unknown to the Greek speaking church. It wasn’t long before their confusion about this context led to sectarian disputes cloaking the Matthew 16:18 event under reams of dispute and controversy about Peter and the Rock.
This writing restores the elegant message Jesus Christ our LORD—YHWH God the Eternal Son Second Person of the Holy Trinity, who was made flesh and walked among us and we beheld His Glory, full of grace and truth—gave to the Church.
ALL who call upon His Name He is the Christ the Son of the Living God as Peter did, believing in their heart and confessing Him publicly WILL BE SAVED (Rom. 10:9-13; Mt. 10:32).
The Aramaic Greek petros confirms this:
The Aramaic name Petros פטרוס is a homonym of Greek πέτρος when transliterated just like the Hebrew BATH (01324 בַּת 1 Ki 7:26, 38 & c.) and Aramaic BATH (01325 בַּת Ezra 7:22) are spelled the same when these are transliterated: βάτος (943, Lk. 16:6); βάτος (942, Mk 12:26; Lk 6:44; 20:37).
Knowledge of this homonym was lost to the church when that unique Aramaic dialect Christ and His disciples spoke was destroyed with the Jewish nation by the Roman Empire. That has caused controversy over the meaning of Matthew 16:18.
This writing restores the original intent of our LORD when He expertly crafted this double entendre on PETROS which we today call a:
Janus Parallelism. This type of parallelism hinges on the use of a single word with two different meanings, one of which forms a parallel with what precedes and the other with what follows. Thus, by virtue of a double entendre, the parallelism faces in both directions. Berlin, A. (1992). Parallelism. In D. N. Freedman (Ed.), The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary (Vol. 5, p. 157). Early interpreters thought Peter’s name PETROS was Greek only. They didn’t know in the days of Jesus an Aramaic name ” פטרוס Peter” when transliterated into Greek becomes πέτρος. Greek speaking Christians unfamiliar with Palestinian Aramaic naturally thought it was Greek “petros” meaning stone.
Proof the homonym exists:
That there was in Aramaic a proper name Petros (H. L. Strack and P. Billerbeck, Kommentar zum NT aus Talmud und Midrasch, 1922 ff., I, 530) which perhaps meant “firstborn” (J. Levy, Neuhebräisches und chaldäisches Wörterbuch über die Talmudim und Midraschim, 1876 f., new imp. 1924, sub voce, פֶּטֶר; Gustav Dalman, Aramäisch-neuhebräisches Wörterbuch, 1901, sub voce) might have influenced the preference for Petros, but this is by no means certain.” -Oscar Cullmann, Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, VI, 101 Footnote 8; Grand Rapids, MI 1968: Eerdmans.
“The currency of Peter’s name is confirmed in Tal Ilan’s identification of three additional first and second-century Palestinian Jewish individuals who bear the name Petros. It is worth noting that the Palestinian Talmud and midrashim repeatedly feature an early Amoraic Rabbi Yose ben Petros, whose father constitutes proof that even this Greek name was by no means unknown in the early rabbinic period.”- Bockmuehl, Markus. 2004. Note the presumption its Greek, precisely what this writing rejects.
The Aramaic petros פטרוס is connected to the Hebrew פטר PaTaR (Strong’s 06362) from which פֶּטֶר PeTeR (Strong’s 06363) meaning “first”, “firstborn” is derived. (cf. Oscar Cullmann, PETER, Westminster Press, Philadelphia 1953, p. 19.)
Its existence is certain. Petros פטרוס exists in Aramaic texts like the Peshitta (Ac. 1:13. 1 Pt. 1:1. 2 Pt. 1:1; Old Syriac Jn. 1:42), the Three Curetonian Epistles, Saint Ephraim’s Refutations and the Colophons.
The Palestinian version Evangeliarium Hierosolymitanum is “independent of other Syriac Versions”-(Chyrs C. Caragounis, Peter And The Rock (Walter de Gruyter, NY, 1990, p. 34). There Petros appears in Matthew 16:18: “thou art petros and on this kepha I shall build.” -Chyrs C. Caragounis (op. cit. pp. 34-37).
Many assume this Petros is transliterated Greek, but if this independent Palestinian version is closest to the Aramaic Christ and His disciples spoke (Agnes S. Lewis, Margaret D. Gibson, Friedrich Schulthess op. cit. pp. 38-39) then its the Aramaic Petros פטרוס homonym.
The 13th Century Sefer Nitsahon calls Peter “petar chamor”, “firstborn ass” making a pun on his Aramaic name PETROS.
πρῶτος Σίμων ὁ λεγόμενος Πέτρος (Matt. 10:2)

Petros as a Jewish Name?
But it remains desirable to ask what Jewish dimensions, if any, this name is likely to have had. And is it conceivable that even the Greek name could have featured in a Hebrew or Aramaic source? It is after all only John 1:42 which, on a certain reading, might be taken to suggest that ‘Peter’ is a secondary translation of an existing name Kēfa̛. It is instructive to note, however, that two verses earlier the evangelist seems to undermine even this conventional assumption of the priority of ‘Cephas’ by referring casually to ‘Simon Peter’ (1:40). Taken at face value, the text implies that it is this Simon, nicknamed Petros, who from now on ‘shall be called Cephas’. All four gospels, indeed, allow for the possibility that Matthew 16 merely affirms and interprets in Aramaic an existing Greek nickname that Peter had all along…See Mark 3:16; Matt. 4:18; Luke 5:8; John 1:40, 42.”- (Bockmuehl, Markus op. cit., p. 71)
Or, interprets an existing Aramaic name petros Simon already had adding to it the Greek petros “stone” meaning to begin the fulfillment of John 1:42 “You will be called Cephas.”
Let’s review the classic theory:
“From the beginning it was probably thought of as the Greek equivalent of the Aramaic כֵּיפָא=Κηφᾶς: J 1:42; confer Mt 16:18”- A Greek-English Lexicon Of The New Testament And Other Early Christian Literature, (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979), p. 654
The common noun petros in Job 30:6 Septuagint translates kepha ( 03710 כֵּף keph).
But the supposition John is translating proper nouns in John 1:42 is a hasty generalization fallacy, unhistorically deeming the common nouns kepha and Greek petros in John 1:42 as proper nouns. They became proper nouns later.
In support, John’s transliteration of kepha as Κηφᾶς certainly is a translation. He then explains a kepha is a petros “stone” in Greek:
“Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation (2059 ἑρμηνεύω hermeneuo), A stone.” (Jn. 1:42 KJV)
If we permit John’s use of 2059 ἑρμηνεύω hermeneuo guide us, John is “interpreting” the meaning of Κηφᾶς (Jn. 1:38, 42; 9:7), not translating it as petros (cp. Jn. 1:41 3177 μεθερμηνεύω methermeneuo).
Consistent with both kepha and petros being common nouns, a translation does not explain what it denotes.
Supporting this Mark groups the epithet petros with boanerges when nicknaming Simon, James and John:
16 And Simon he surnamed (2007 ἐπιτίθημι epitithemi) Peter (πέτρος petros);
17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed (2007 ἐπιτίθημι epitithemi) them Boanerges (βοανηργές boanerges), which is, The sons of thunder: (Mk. 3:16-17 KJV)
The the same epitithemi applies to both, the meaning of these nicknames are added to Simon, James and John. The nicknames denote something about them that is true.
So Petros in Matthew 16:18 is the Aramaic Petros proper noun to which Jesus is adding the Greek petros common noun meaning.
So this is where it gets complex. We are dealing with a homonym in Matthew 16:18 which in effect is BOTH a proper noun and a common noun.
THE connecting line from John 1:42 to Matthew 16:18, is not to Cephas as a proper name, its to petros as a kepha common noun which meaning Jesus added to the Aramaic proper name in His Janus Parallelism.
Let’s walk through it:
The Aramaic petros is a proper name Simon had before he met Jesus (Mt. 4:18; Jo. 1:40).
When Jesus surnamed Simon petros in Mt. 16:18, he was adding the common noun petros meaning of “Cephas Stone.”
Jesus crafted a Janus Parallelism using the homonym petros. It’s the pivot word, looking back its the Aramaic proper name petros meaning “firstborn”, looking forward it’s the Greek common noun petros meaning “stone.”
Mark’s usage of the names Simon and Petros confirm the time of Simon’s surnaming (Mark 3:16) is at Matthew 16:18.
Simon appears in Mark 1:16, 29, 30, 36 and in Mark 3:16 where Petros Peter makes its first appearance, categorizing it with the epithet Boanerges. Petros makes another appearance in Mark 5:37 where Peter’s place among Christ’s inner circle was relevant (cf. Mk. 14:33). Except when quoting Christ in Mark 14:37, Simon doesn’t appear again. Consistent with Simon being surnamed petros during Matthew 16:18 event in Mark 8:29 we read “But who do you say that I am?” Petros Peter answered “You are the Christ”. Then a burst of Petros references- (Mark 8:32-33; 9:2,5; 10:28; 11:21; 13:3; 14:29, 33, 37, 54, 66-67, 70, 72; 16:7).
This indicates Jesus put upon (ἐπιτίθημι) the Aramaic Petros the Greek meaning of kepha petros “stone” at Matthew 16:18. Peter’s new name indicated a new relationship in Christ and Mark accordingly begins using it instead of Simon.
To be clear, while BOTH are names today we must keep the historical progression to interpret correctly. It does not appear either the Aramaic kepha or the Greek petros were used as Proper Names in the Palestinian Aramaic and Greek Christ and His disciples spoke. Evidently the distribution of the NT Greek text is what established these as proper names later.
However, as the NT indicates Jesus and John used them as common nouns it really doesn’t affect this exegesis if additional data proves they were common and proper nouns at that time. (cf. Chrys C. Caragounis, Peter and the Rock, (Walter de Gruyter, Berlin, New York, 1990) pp. 9-25.
When Christ spoke John 1:42 and Matthew 16:18, Simon already had the Aramaic פטרוס which in Greek appears as petros .
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter (Petros), and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matt. 4:18-19 KJV)
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s (Petros) brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone (petros). (Jn. 1:40-42 KJV)
In Matthew 16:18 Jesus is using BOTH the Aramaic and Greek meanings, pivoting on the Aramaic proper name פטרוס petros to say Simon is the “first” born of the gospel He is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Then pivoting forward in Qal Wahomer lesser to greater analogy Christ points to the petros kepha who has now become a lesser version of the massive life giving petra rock that is Christ (1 Cor. 10:4), having drunk of the living water out of “the PeTeR” is flowing rivers of living water, revealing the “word of faith” Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God” which if anyone confess publicly, will save him (Rom. 10:9-11; Mt. 10:32; Jo. 20:31). Peter has become the “first” “lively stone” of the church, who in temporal finite realm will be saved after Jesus’ resurrection (2 Pet. 2:5; Mt. 16:18-19) as the channel of God’s grace comes into existence as Jesus rises from the dead. But from God’s timeless perspective, Simon was “born again” at that time and his relationship with God changed, therefore Christ gives him a new name, a composite name that shows both Aramaic “firstborn” and Greek “kepha stone” meanings have achieved actuality.
Jesus surnamed Simon petros and said to Simon “upon this rock (4073 πέτρα petra) [you just confessed] I will build my church.” (Matt. 16:18 KJV)
Consistent with this, the most ancient interpretation found in the early church fathers is “upon this specific point of faith that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God, Jesus built His church.”
However, the Greek speaking Church had lost all knowledge of the Aramaic פטרוס Petros That unique Palestinian Aramaic speaking Jewish culture was lost to the Greek speaking church when the Romans dispersed the children of Israel and those knowing it died off. So when they read פטרוס petros “stone” in the NT they naturally assumed it was the Greek word for “stone”.
Scholars who faithlessly reject this context as authentic are without excuse. Their theory a Petrine Party editor (too stupid to simply write PETROS twice or delete the demonstrative pronoun, yet smart enough to corrupt every available Bible version on earth) is absurd to say the least. Ignoring all the contradiction to the theory is odd, perhaps malicious.
Confirming the pericope is authentic beyond all reasonable doubt, the Matthew 16:16-19 event is woven in the very fabric of scripture. For example:
1) Matthew 16:16-19. πρῶτος Σίμων ὁ λεγόμενος Πέτρος (Matt. 10:2) First Simon the one called Peter Petros “firstborn”. Hence first in all the apostolic lists (Mt. 10:2-4; Mk. 3:16-19; Lk; 13-16; Ac. 1:13 פטרוס Peshitta)
2) The use of the petros in John (1:42);
3) The phenomena the usage of petros in Mark after the Matthew 16:18 event;
4) Paul’s switch from Petros to Cephas in Galatians 2:9;
5) The clear dependency of the Romans 10:6-13 on the Matthew 16:16-19 context;
6) John’s allusion to Matthew 16:16-19 building the church on the specific point of Jesus’ identity in John 20:31);
7) The soundness of interpreting Matthew 16:18-19 precisely as our infallible teacher Jesus set up the Sermon on the mount illustration of the wise man building upon the unchanging petra truth of Christ’s sayings so the forces of nature could not prevail against that house (Matthew 7:24-25);
8) Paul’s allusion to Peter when teaching the eternal security of the believer.
9) The demonstrative feminine pronoun “this” has Jesus speaking TO Peter ABOUT “her” the female rock so he cannot be the antecedent.
10) The parallels between this event and 1 Peter 2:2-6.
11) The Aramaic “Barjona” was retained by Matthew to allude to the Jonah analogy Jesus was referring to which confirms Simon was born again at that time, preaching the divine revelation of God which gives life to the world.

1) πρῶτος Σίμων ὁ λεγόμενος Πέτρος (Matt. 10:2)
“First Simon the one called Firstborn” (Compare Billerbeck op. cit.)
4413 πρῶτος protos {pro’-tos}
Meaning: 1) first in time or place – Strong’s Concordance
Protos is not part of a numbering system as no second or third listed. Simon is “the first [in time], the one called “firstborn” [of the Gospel of Christ] from whose belly now flows rivers of living water. Peter’s confession is unique, the direct result of Divine Revelation and the only one to elicit a Makarism blessing from Jesus (Mt. 16:17 cf. Jo. 1:48-48; Mt. 14:33). Protos cannot refer to Simon’s primacy among the apostles as they were still arguing among themselves who was the greatest after the Matthew 16:18 event (Mk. 8:29 cf. Mk. 9:34). That also rules out Peter as “leader” of the group. Suggestions it means “first among equals” seem desperate groping for a reason. The parsimonous reason Simon is first to be born again by the public confession of the Word of Faith and THAT is why Jesus declares him “blessed.”
2) “All NT passages using λίθος which are extent in the various Syriac sources, are uniformly rendered with כאפא , apart from ‘mill-stone’, which has a special term in Syriac, רחיא דחמרא .”-Chrys C. Caragounis, Peter and the Rock, (Berlin, NY, Walter de Gruyter, 1990) p. 32. This indirect evidence of the Aramaic Christ spoke raises the question why John chose petros and not lithos to denote kepha. The most likely reason is allusion to the Janus parallelism on the petros homonym in Matthew 16:18.
3) Mark’s usage of the names Simon and Petros confirm the time of Simon’s surnaming (Mark 3:16) is at Matthew 16:18.
Simon appears in Mark 1:16, 29, 30, 36 and in Mark 3:16 where Petros Peter makes its first appearance, categorizing it with the epithet Boanerges. Petros makes another appearance in Mark 5:37 where Peter’s place among Christ’s inner circle was relevant (cf. Mk. 14:33). Except when quoting Christ in Mark 14:37, Simon doesn’t appear again. Consistent with Simon being surnamed petros during Matthew 16:18 event in Mark 8:29 we read “But who do you say that I am?” Petros Peter answered “You are the Christ”. Then a burst of Petros references- (Mark 8:32-33; 9:2,5; 10:28; 11:21; 13:3; 14:29, 33, 37, 54, 66-67, 70, 72; 16:7).
This indicates Jesus put upon (ἐπιτίθημι) the Aramaic Petros the Greek meaning of kepha petros “stone” at Matthew 16:18. Peter’s new name indicated a new relationship in Christ and Mark accordingly begins using it instead of Simon.
The precise wording necessary for the Janus Parallelism and Qal Wahomer is the best explanation why the other gospel writers leave it to Matthew to recount.
4) In Galatians [TR] Paul switches from Petros (Gal. 1:18; 2:7, 8) to Cephas then reverts back to Petros (Gal. 2:11, 14) without explaining why. He is listed with two others, James the half brother of the Lord Jesus, and John the disciple whom Jesus loved (John 19:26; 20:2; 21:20). Cephas emphasizes Peter’s special place just as it does in 1 Corinthians 9:5 “the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas.” Paul is astonished Cephas who is among the inner circle of the LORD’s apostles, First to drink the grace of God, first to open the door to the Gentiles (Ac. 10:34-35) channeling the living water from massive petra Rock that is Christ, to the world—was now so gracelessly a fountain of bile separating himself his fellow Priests in the Royal priesthood. Hence Paul’s use of Cephas offers insight into what Paul was visualizing as he writes about Peter, from what he had fallen.

5) Romans 10:6-13 is clearly dependent upon the Matthew 16:16-19 event. Paul speaks of Christ being brought down from heaven and the “word of faith” appearing “even in thy mouth” which is precisely what happened to Peter. The Father divinely revealed Christ’s identity and the belief and words appeared in the heart and mouth of Peter (Mt. 16:16-17). Confessing “the Lord Jesus” then is confessing Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God” (cf. Jo. 20:31).
6) “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” (Jn. 20:31 KJV) Implicit is the Matthew 16:16-19 event where the church is built by believing the petra life giving Rock truth He is the Christ the Son of the Living God and upon that belief/public confession the church is built one soul at a time.
7) One must interpret Matthew 16:16-19 precisely as Jesus interpreted the wise man parable in Matthew 7:24-25 as these are “apple to apple” contexts sharing symbols in common: 1)Jesus’ Divine revelation “These sayings of mine”, Father’s divine revelation “Jesus is ‘the Christ the Son of God'”; 2) “built his house”, “build my church”; 3)”built his house upon a petra rock”, “upon this petra rock I will build my church”; 4)”rain…floods…winds beat upon that house and it fell not”, “Gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Although some interpret the Matthew 7:24-25 prophetically its Sermon on the mount teaching using classic two-way Genre (cf. Dt. 30:19) and is taken as such by Paul who reworked the material in Ephesians 6:10-16 thusly: “built his upon rock”, “be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might”; “rain…floods…winds”, “spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places”; “it fell not”, “extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one”; “built…upon a petra”, “stand firm”.
Its consistent we interpret the symbols in Matthew 16:16-19 precisely as Jesus set up Matthew 7:24-25, He is our infallible Teaching Authority (Mt. 23:8).
8) Paul’s allusion to Peter’s denying Christ thrice (Mt. 26:34, 69-75; Jo. 21:15-17) requires Peter was saved before his denials (Mt. 16:17) to illustrate the eternal security of the believer: “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. (2 Tim. 2:13 KJV)”.
9) Both the grammar and metaphor of Matthew 16:18 (καὶ ἐπὶ ταύτῃ τῇ πέτρα) exclude Peter, the demonstrative has Jesus speaking TO Simon ABOUT this the female petra rock. Neither Peter who is called Satan a few verses later (Mt. 16:23) or his confession which he thrice contradicted (Mt. 26:34, 69-75) are “rock like” consistent with the rock metaphor. One can watch a rock their entire life, it won’t change. Both Peter and his confession changed. The only thing “rock like” in this context is the unchanging divine revelation of God the Eternal Son, that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Only that unchanging divine truth the Gates of Hell cannot prevail against can be the petra from which flows the “spiritual drink” (cf. 1 Cor. 10:4) giving life to the church and so building it “one soul at a time.”
10) The obvious dependency of the 1 Peter 2:2-6 on the Matthew 16:16-19 event. Peter is speaking to “newborn babes” who have “tasted” the living water of the Lord, and now are “lively stones.” Its clear from the usage of the Aramaic kepha and the Greek lithos petros and the usage of lithos to refer to both Christ (the petra) and the church that in this regard they are all synonyms.
11) Just as Simon identified Jesus, so now Jesus identifies Simon, He is the Firstborn of the gospel of Christ. In full Makarism declares Simon son bar of Jonah, that is “after the order” of Jonah the prophet. Just as Christ saw analogy to His coming death to Jonah’s time in the belly of a great fish (Mt. 12:40-41) so now he sees in Simon another analogy to Jonah. Just as he rose up from figurative hell being vomited out onto dry land, and then went and preached the divine revelation of God (which if any man will believe and confess would save him, cf. Jonah 2:1-3:10)—so also Simon is now the preaching the petra truth upon which all who believe can have life (John 20:31).
In conclusion, the Asymmetric Janus Parallelism Christ crafted in Matthew 16:18 and which Matthew faithfully preserves restores precision to grammar, syntax and metaphor used. In a word, the text’s elegance is restored, its expert weave radiates into the fabric of the NT itself. That is sufficient proof this exegesis is true to the data.
The inelegance manifest in the scholarly consensus which ultimately trashes the context as inauthentic, is sufficient proof God is not speaking through it.

Satan’s War against the Woman’s Seed, the Child of the Daughter of Zion

The Woman’s seed refers first to Christ, then to the children of God.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Gen. 3:15 KJV)
This verse is one of the most famous cruxes of Scripture. Interpreters fall into two categories: those who see in the decree a messianic import and those who see nothing of the kind.-Hamilton, V. P. Sound Bible interpretation insists “scripture interprets scripture” to know which side is God’s.
The prophecy telescopes from the Days of Noah the 1st century when Jesus was born, bruised in the heel by the crucifixion, then rose in resurrection to the end time when He will bruise Satan’s Seed the Antichrist in the head.
That is confirmed by the prophecy of the Daughter of Zion who appears first in heaven, gives birth on earth, then waits for deliverance at the return of Christ. “Seed” clearly refers directly to Christ and the Antichrist, then to the children of God or the Devil.
In the war of the seeds begins. Satan cast his Nephilim “fallen ones” down to earth to corrupt the human genome (Rev. 12:1-4; Gen. 6:1-4) hoping to prevent the incarnation of God the Son, in truly human flesh (John 1:14) that reflected the image of God uncorrupted (Gen. 1:26-27).
The flood ended that stage of warfare. Satan and some of his army escaped back into heaven where they forced to remain (Eph. 6:12) until God removes what prevented their physical return to the earth out of the way (2 Thess. 2:6; Rev. 9:1).
But Satan tried to slay the child after it was born (Matt. 2:1-18), but only bruised it by the crucifixion.
In the End Time, when God lifts His restraint of spiritism so Satan and his angels again walk physically among men on earth (Rev. 16:13) as they did in the Days of Noah (Luke 17:26 cf. Matt. 24:29), Michael and his armies cast them out of heaven (Rev. 12:7-13) and they appear on earth claiming to be “Elohim” and Mankind’s “Designers”.
Christ then bruises Adonikam Satan’s seed in the head, at Armageddon (Rev. 19:19-20),
Therefore, it is the testimony of scripture “seed” refers to first to “Christ” and “Antichrist”, and also to the offspring of God or the Devil (Rev. 12:17; 1 John 3:10 cp. 1 John 2:18)

The Heavenly Angels God’s heavenly army in Daniel 8:9-14
The heavenly angels are God’s heavenly army called “hosts” in many Bibles (1 Ki. 22:19; Neh. 9:6; Ps. 103:21; 148:2; Lk. 2:13). The captains in this army are its “stars” (Judg. 5:20; Josh. 5:14; Dan. 8:11, 25; 10:13, 21; compare with humans who lead many to righteousness shine as the stars Dan. 12:3).
It grew as high as the heavenly army, made some of the army and some of the stars fall to the earth, and trampled them. (Dan. 8:10 CSB17)
As the anointed cherub (Ez. 28:14) Satan the “prince of Persia” is stronger than heavenly angel, both Gabriel and Michael combined (Dan. 10:13, 20; Jude 1:9) could hardly get past him. He gives his power and authority to the Antichrist little horn (Dan. 8:24; 11:36-37; Rev. 13:4), who then appears invincible to men and will successfully engage “some of the army and some of the stars”, if separated from the main force (Rev. 12:7-9).
How is that possible?
I propose its part of the strong delusion God sends (2 Th. 2:7-12), to harden the hearts of the Beast and his followers they can resist God and live, just as God permitted Pharaoh some success (Ex. 7:11-12, 22-23) to harden his heart (Ex. 4:2; 7:3) and make God’s power known by them (Ex. 9:16; Rom. 9:22).
The unrestrained “energia of Satan” is precisely what God sent to deceive the little horn Man of Lawlessness and his followers they could resist God and win (2 Th. 2:7-12). [The devil deceives them (Rev. 20:8), he isn’t deceived. He’s well aware even if the forces of evil stand hand to hand Almighty God will consume them (Pr. 16:5; Is. 34:4-5; Rev. 6:13-14) but that is for another post.)
We should start at the beginning.
Daniel’s prophecy (Dan. 8:9-14) has fulfillment in Antiochus (see other commentaries for that) and Antichrist, only the latter discussed here.
Daniel was confused by this prophecy (Dan. 8:27). That is odd because God the Holy Spirit gave him special understanding into enigma (Dan. 2:47; 4:8-9; 5:11-12). From Gabriel’s words we can infer the dual fulfillment was the cause of Daniel’s confusion (Dan. 8:15, 17), but his additional interpretation (Dan. 12:8-9) failed to end it. That follows if the words Daniel heard no longer fit the definitions he knew, their reference to entities in the end time had changed their meaning (Dan. 12:8-9), only those living in the End Time would understand.
Although Gabriel gives both fulfillments, we shall focus on Dan. 8:23 “when the rebels have reached the full measure of sin” (Dan. 8:23-26) because that phraseology telescopes it to the end time of the Antichrist (Dan. 8:17, 19).
The heavenly hosts are God’s heavenly army, the stars captains among them

The Assyrian Antichrist emerged from the Grecian portion of the old Roman Empire (Dan. 8:7), and the Dragon “god of forces” (Dan. 11:38; Rev. 13:4) the anointed cherub (Ezek. 28:14)—stronger than Michael the Archangel (Dan. 10:13; Jude 1:9), deceives him he is greater in power than God’s heavenly army.
Nephilim “fallen angel” technology with the energia of Satan (2 Thess. 2:9) permits the Antichrist defeat some of the angels of God’s heavenly army, even some of the Captains (stars) among them:
[This hardens the hearts of all not found in the Lamb’s book of life, just as God permitted Pharaoh small success strengthening the delusion he could resist God and live (Ex. 7:11-12, 22; Rom. 9:21-22)]
The angel’s interpretation confirms:
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. (Dan. 8:24 KJV)
“Destroy wonderfully (06381 פָּלָא pala’)”, in parody to how God destroys (Gen. 18:14; Ex. 3:20; 34:10 &c.); “not by his own power” but by the energeia of Satan (2 Th. 2:9):
In the end they issue in the “little horn” figure (v. 9) already seen in ch. 7—the final anti-Messiah who will arise when the sins of the “four kingdoms” have reached their full measure (v. 23), and about whom we now hear much more. He is of bold countenance (he looks hard or insolent) and devious (v. 23), destructive (v. 24) and arrogant, even to the point of rising up against the Prince of princes (v. 25)—making a blasphemous attack on God himself. Here is a god challenging the true God, as kings characteristically do in the OT, with no awareness of this God’s true nature. This latter passage is difficult both because of uncertainties in the Hebrew and because of the mixture of metaphor and more straightforward language that it contains. At one level it again concerns arrogant action against heaven, the “host of heaven” being a phrase often used of the heavenly army of angels (e.g., 1 Kgs 22:19–20) or simply of the sun, moon, and stars (e.g., Isa 34:4). The anti-Messiah is someone of great ambition, reaching for the stars and throwing them down (cf. Isa 14:13–14), confronting the prince of the host (God himself? one of his angels?) in doing so. At another level, however, the passage seems to concern physical warfare on earth—the battle results in real consequences for Jerusalem. The spiritual and physical realms are linked in warfare in Daniel as elsewhere in the Bible (e.g., Josh 5:14; Dan 10:20; 11:1; 12:1; Eph 6:10–20)—what happens in one realm affects the other. “He shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.” Believers are “the holy people”, “the mighty” are their angelic protectors (Heb. 1:7, 14; 1 Cor. 11:10), when the power of the Holy People is destroyed, the elect angels yoked to them is also.
It acted arrogantly even against the Prince of the heavenly army; it revoked his regular sacrifice and overthrew the place of his sanctuary. (Dan. 8:11 CSB17)
As noted earlier, the double entendre in “the daily” and “the sanctuary” likely caused Daniel’s inability to understand the vision (Dan. 8:27), the vision of end time events just didn’t match the words Gabriel spoke (Dan. 12:8-9).
The Antiochus fulfillment involved the literal Temple and sacrifices, but in the Antichrist fulfillment the Church is the Temple of God (2 Th. 2:3-4; 1 Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19; 2 Cor. 6:16; Eph. 2:19-21).
In the End Time the church is the dwelling of God, “a holy priesthood that offers up “spiritual sacrifices” (πνευματικὰς θυσίας) acceptable to God” (1 Pet. 2:5). In Hebrews we are admonished to “offer (399 ἀναφέρω anaphero) sacrifice (2378 θυσία thusia)” and that word is used in the Greek Septuagint to offer (399 ἀναφέρω anaphero) the whole burnt offering that in Hebrew is the “daily” (08548 תָּמִיד tamiyd) 1 Ch. 16:40; 23:31; 2 Ch. 2:3; 24:14.
When the Man of Sin is revealed he comes as the false Christ, and the apostate church received him. Therefore, ending the Daily Sacrifice is a mutual apostasy (Dan. 12:11 “taken away” 05493 סוּר cuwr, “to turn aside, depart). He demanded, they, enthusiastically complied.
The Sanctuary the church is cast down, TARES have overrun its outer courtyard (Rev. 11:1-2).
In the rebellion, the army was given up, together with the regular sacrifice. The horn threw truth to the ground and was successful in what it did. (Dan. 8:12 CSB17)
“The army” consists of “some of God’s army and some of the Stars among them” (Dan. 8:10) as well as the Church militant, God’s army of born again believers symbolized by the 144,000 in military census (Rev. 7:4-8; Ex. 6:26; 7:4; 12:51). [The great crowd were saved through their faithful witness. As God is no respecter of persons (Rom. 2:11), these saved in the End Time, including those who missed the rapture but are gathered up to Christ by angels (Mt. 24:31; Mk. 13:27; Rev. 16:15) receive the same blessings as He freely gives the Church (Rev. 7:9-17). The first will be last (Mt. 20:1-16). Please excuse the tangent.]
The power of the holy people is completely destroyed (Dan. 12:7; 9:27), God permits the Great Tribulation martyrdom (Rev. 13:7; 14:8-13; Dan. 7:21; 8:24; 12:7, 11) .
Truth is cast down, replaced with the strong delusion “ancient alien theory” is correct, and that God is an Extraterrestrial. He is purged from revisionist history in an attempt to change times and laws (Dan. 7:25). All concepts of God are cast down (Dan. 11:36-37), the Antichrist opposed them all exalting himself (2 Th. 2:3-4) as an Extraterrestrial whose alliance with the Dragon renders him invincible. This is the blasphemy of God’s Name and all who dwell with Him, calling them an inferior extraterrestrial race (Rev. 13:6)
3 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the speaker, “How long will the events of this vision last– the regular sacrifice, the rebellion that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and of the army to be trampled?”
14 He said to me, “For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be restored. (Dan. 8:13-14 CSB17)
“Then shall the sanctuary will be restored (06663 צָדַק tsadaq)” literally rendered is “then shall the sanctuary (=church) be justified “, that is “the holy people be made right.”
So when precisely do we see the Church’s faith in God justified, them made right for believing in His Name?
That happens in the book of Revelation, about 2, 300 days after the start of the end time week. The church is vindicated, God’s judgments are manifested and they stand before Him on a sea of glass in heaven, singing the songs of Moses and the Lamb:
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
